Well then, pretty quiet around here today. Only took a couple of minutes to catch up!

My son is with them for the day. He'll be back sometime tonight, though I dunno when. Stopped at a second hand store on the way home - came home with an antique school desk -- the kind with cast iron legs where the seat is connected to the desk for the row behind. It needs some work which is why I got it for $9.

Bit of a headache that I'm using as a temporary excuse for resting for a few minutes. Then, must attack my grading stack like a madwoman.

ChickenChick...also got a spectacular antique wooden desk chair on casters. It's in PERFECT shape -- solid oak, I think. $25 was a STEAL. Now, to decide where to put it (not at the computer -- I like a soft chair here, ROFL)

This song has entirely changed my perception of Byakuren. At first, I merely thought she was a cool, mother-type character with a nice fashion sense. But now... I've realized she's spent at least seven hundred years flying a ship to save, take in, and raise lost and persecuted spirits. Seven. Hundred. Years. Now, these spirits could have killed her. People made fun of her because they do not like the spirits in question. But Byakuren saw past all of that. She gave up her nice, cushy job and went to save them in her giant airship-house. And once she takes them in, they all act as a family. For example, right now, somewhere, her captain Murasa is taking a break from piloting. Shou is probably playing a game with Nazrin. Kogasa and Ichrin are reading a book together. And Nue and Byakuren are sitting and viewing the sunset, wondering what new day will await them, now that they've been accepted into Gensokyo society.

...Wow, I need a life. Or a boyfriend.

Good Saturday morning everyone! It got down to 25 last night, this is our first hard freeze. All my pretty plants are wilted

I won't be on much. Today is the Home Coming Festivities. These poor kids have not won one game this year, lets hope this is it!

Destiny did color commentary on Coltons games last night. I listened on the inter-net. It was so awesome to hear her, she sounds as sweet as she seems

It was so much fun and kept me company as Raymond stayed in town with a FB buddy. The Bull Dogs won 35 - 20

Bon Fire- When I was a kid

this was a little different, I have not gotten to ask my son exactally what they do for this but I know they had a fire (controlled by school personnel) on the FB practise field.

Today is the Parade with floats made by each class Freshman, Sophomore and so on. I am not sure if you have those there, Freshman means 9th grade Soph means 10 and so on.... Also today is the Foot Ball game where the King and Queen are crowned. These are students that have been voted for by their peers. A Picnic Pot Luck ( I need to get my salad there soon. ) Then the dance is this evening. This Game and Parade are a huge community event as well, keep in mind our community is around 2000 people give or take a few! It is a lot of fun, especially for the students!

Wow! Sounds exciting. As my signature says, I'm homeschooled so we don't have those sorts of things.

Updated picture of Penguin! I still need to take an updated picture of Itsy Bitsy and the "Twins" (Can't tell them apart so they get one name). Need to take pictures of ALL my babies. Hmmm. I better find my battery charger. ALL of my batteries are dead around here...
