Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Oh, and Penguin had quite the escapade after that photo. Flash startled him & he squirmed right on out of my hand. I was able to send him back to his little home but it took fifteen minutes to coax & trick him into letting me catch him. Didn't want to risk a boink injury with Penguin by moving too fast. He was more than happy to go back in with Itsy Bitsy. Speaking of which, I'm on the prowl for yet another cat/dog carrier. OK, so I could use a half dozen more of them. The medium ones are working well for cages for pairs. I'm still watching for more at yard sales and thrift shops. Not having much luck right now, though.

(Doors to outside are ALWAYS closed when I'm working with these birds. penguin & Itsy Bitsy moved to the Bird Room the other day. So, he couldn't go far. Looks like Penguin is a boy and Itsy bitsy is probably a girl. The two that are a couple days older are BOTH boys. The three that are younger -- too soon to tell.)

Good morning all! A brisk 18 degrees this morning. My silly guineas were perched on the fence this morning. They show no interest in going in their house or the chicken coop. They fly in to the chicken run and spend a big part of the day there. But at night they roost on the fence close to the hot tub and "sing" to us when we are trying to be romantic!!

Raymond has one more game, tonight they play the same team as Saturday, so they are hoping for another win! I t was so awesome hearing Destiny on the air on Friday for Coltons game. She sounds as sweet as we all thought she was

I think she surprised the announcer with her FB knowledge, especially when she corrected him

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

ChickenChick: Sounds nice. 18 degrees, wow!

My weekend... Eh... I got dragged around to a lot of places I didn't want to go to.

It is about 50 here this morning, it sprinkled on our way to town, then the sun started shining, a rainbow came out and then we had a brief rain! It is supposed to be in the upper 60s with a chance of sprinkles off and on today. Today is the day we switch to directv.

Colton didn't have school today, but has to go to vo-tech this afternoon, so we left him in bed this morning. After the long trip home Friday night and up at 6 Saturday morning, then had to go see girlfriend Saturday night, he was dragging his butt yesterday. He slept through supper last night!

Jasper enjoyed most of the parade, but didn't like the bands with the loud drums and thought the flags might hit him, but other than that he did fine. He did have to curl up on my lap in the middle of it and take a short nap though. We took Destiny's babysitting kids and they made sure he got lots of mints and tootsie rolls. The petting zoo also went well except that Rutherford, the brown duck, kept escaping and we had to chase him a few times. One of the FFA girls shared her blooming onion with the girls and they certainly loved that! I have a pic of Bailey eating it that I will have to upload later.

Congrats again on Raymond winning his homecoming game! I can't believe they are already almost done with the season. We have 2 more games and if we win our last one (we are getting our butts kicked this week), we go on to post season. I imagine we will lose that game, so we will be done the first week in November. I think the 3rd if I remember right. This Friday is senior night since it is our last home game. I am glad you got to listen to her Tanya, she really enjoyed doing it. I did get out to the car to hear just a tiny bit of post game when they were talking about next week.

Raymond slept through supper too! Like my Mom used to say, too much weekend

He text me at about 8:30 sunday morning to come get him. He hadn't been home since friday morning, but of course I got tot see him on saturday. Well I got him home and he fell asleep after I fed him, and slept until 8 when I woke him up, fed him again and sent him to bed!

We rented Killers yesterday. We loved it!

I can't wait to see the pics Michelle. It sounds like Jasper was spoiled rotten this weekend

I can't blame either one of them. I slept off and on Saturday afternoon/evening while watching football. There were some pretty darn good games on and several ranked teams fell this weekend.

I forgot the most exciting news of the weekend!! #11 ranked Mizzou takes on #1 in the nation Oklahoma Saturday night for game day on ABC!!

And guess who is going to be there????

We are gathering our stuff to tail gate before the game, with the grill and all. I am so excited!!

When I originally requested the tickets I did it because it is sis's birthday, so thought it would be a good day to go. We didn't realize how important it would be. We will probably get our butts kicked, but we are gonna get them kicked on national TV!!

Good morning everyone!

I actually believe I feel kind of rested at the moment. More so than in weeks. I actually decided to SKIP the last weekend of RFair even though I have a season pass. I just needed to STAY HOME and have a quiet weekend. I had about 8 or so hours of grading that "had" to be done and didn't want to feel pressure of doing it too quickly. I didn't accomplish much around here other than that, but feel like I had some breathing room. The last six weeks or so have been chaotic to put it one way -- 4 sets of company plus all the fall fests / RFair, etc. It was good to have a quiet weekend.

ChickenChick - I miss having guineas. I sure won't be getting any here in town, ROFL!
P. Kumatora - Sorry, Penguin is staying here.

He sure doesn't cuddle under my hand anymore! He was pretty unhappy about getting held, to put it mildly.
Michelle -- jasper went to the parade? HA HA. He is still sitting on laps? I thought you said he was up to 40 pounds...

Let the busy week begin!

Rozzie--I am glad you had a weekend to rest. We all deserve it at some time.

Yes, Jasper went to the parade, I didn't want Colton to take him to the petting zoo before I could be out there to watch him. He is around 30 pounds and climbs on our laps almost nightly before going to bed and falls asleep. He is a little heavy, but not too bad. At the parade, I put him on a leash and he sat by hubby and the boys and watched right along with them unless he got scared, then he would hide behind hubby! He made lots of new friends this weekend!

How are you today?

So far so good! I am finally getting around to baking the Ginger Snaps for my nephews. I plan on doing a batch of Snicker Doodles next. The cookies and the stair master are both calling my name
