Man your dinner far outdid mine! panko bread crumbs--a specialty crumb???

It is a Japanese style bread crumb. They use it a lot on Food Network. This summer when we stayed with my Aunt she made pork chops breaded with it and they were amazing! So, we picked some up and tried it last night. They have plain ones (what we used) but they also have different seasoned ones too like Italian and I can't remember what all. If we can get it at our local grocery store, I am sure you can find it around there!

oooh totally going to have to look for it-thank you!

I really think you will like it! The plain was so good, I am anxious to try the other ones too. I just bought a small box, so I will stock up next time I go!

I said I love American History. I also like World History, it just am not that much into the really ancient, really old stuff. Not to say that I am not sorry that I did take those classes, but given a choice, I still like to keep learning about American. That is all I was saying. I didn't intent to step on your toes with that comment.

ROFL You surely didn't step on my toes. I should have added a little smiley face after my comment! I hear that phrase from students all the time, LOL. I could even make you like the old ancient stuff.

It's fun if you don't focus on the military/political side, but spend time on the technology, social, and cultural side.

I'll have to say I hated history when I was in school. I didn't start appreciating it until I was able to travel a bit. Boston was especially interesting! I got to see the bar that Cheers was based off of!

Got ya!

Lol! Actually, there is so much history in Boston, it's hard to list everything.

The weather here has been pretty nice during the day. It has been freezing at night but sunny and clear in the afternoon. Great for walking/jogging.

I haven't tried Panko yet but I have noticed they are pretty popular on cooking shows. I still have no idea what to do for supper tonight. Any ideas girls?

Heck, military history bores me! Yuck! I don't even teach it in my history classes. You should see the look of relief on 90% of my students' faces when they hear that we will NOT be studying troop movements and military tactics. I offer to suggest a different instructor for them if they are going to be too disappointed. I know people who DO teach military history heavily. I "have" to teach some political history, but try to bring in a lot of the other stuff. How can you NOT bring in other history when students don't even know the basics of how things used to be? If I'm talking about colonial history, they have NO idea what life was like back then. Heck, I've had students that didn't know the difference between a pig and a guinea pig...or corn and wheat...
