Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

I am not sure, but I think they would, yes. Seems like someone here on BYC mentioned that they would. They dig big holes, so I know they can dig under. I inspect all around the henhouse and fenced pen every day and every night for holes and tracks.

Something else kind of interesting about armadillos is that they can carry TB. Again...

Sorry, I meant leprosy, not TB, but for some reason I thought those diseases were similar...something I read once.

I will go look it up, as I am now confusing myself. I do know that we had a sanitarium here called Hanson's leprosy sanitarium - somewhere down in South Louisiana...and I was reading about armadillos once and learned they could carry leprosy, and I think TB. I wondered if the patients at the Hanson's sanitarium got their leprosy from armodillos...

Leprosy yes...TB no..not possible, all though once you get into a cellular level it is possible to have a chronic infection that may appear to be TB, but yet it is not. Leprosy grows within the skin tissues-Tb infects the lung tissue and organ-different types of cellular structures. Either way, they are both diseases and yup they are

I go outside for just alittle bit to mow and what happens? I come back in and find out armadillos are lepors? How do you get that from them? A scratch? stepping in their poo? a mean look? Are we talking Ben Hur Leprosy here?

no no ..silly-we were talking about armadillos being used for leprosy experiments and helping cure it. Then someone suggested that armadillos carry tb-I was just coorrecting them that no they cannot contract Tb :) See what happens when I finally have time to post a few times? LOL the whole thread crumbles...

On the bright side, so far my van is running like a dream. I am both mad and happy at the same time. I had a 2 and a half hour lunch with a former co-worker, spent the last hour visiting in the front office with the secretary and feel like I have gotten absolutely nothing done today, but I have actually had a productive day when I have sat at my desk. Now I want to hurry and get the rest done so I can sneak out early again today!! (kids will be home in a few hours)
