Oh wow! That sounds like a huge project! You will love it when it is done though.

My least favorite part of any project is the mess it makes in the rest of the house!! I spent all day yesterday trying to figure out what to do with the things we do not want back in our now peaceful and beautiful bedroom! In fact I should be straightening the closet so I can stuff some of it in there, but instead I am on BYC!!

I have a quickie minute-Weekend was good-reunion-was great-Im soo tired took a 3 hr nap yesterday-which I never do-but wow I felt so good after-michelle-the work on your house sounds like it's going good? I say that because your DH is still alive and that says something? LOL...

It is going as well as expected. The sheet rock is up and the taping/mudding has begun! He has changed his mind again on how to do it, but I figured that. He will eventually have to make up his mind and then I will actually pay attention to agree or disagree with his plans! Why does it seem the weekend goes sooo much faster??

Good Morning! Missed you guys this weekend! I caught 1 more coon. Nothing for the last 2 nights. Maybe I got them all? Saw a dead armadillo about a mile north of me on the hwy. Haven't seen any around the farm yet, but I'm on the lookout.
Ny..glad the reunion went good. How was the ballgame? Did it get rained out?
Michelle..I envy your bedroom redo. There is so much I would like to do to my place, I don't know where to begin! You will have to post some pics soon!
Chickenchick..Hope you had a great weekend! Where is Conrad, Montana? My DD is going to WYWAM in colorado this fall.

I will post pics as soon as the room is done! (if it ever gets done!) I am getting pretty anxious about it, but weeknights with everything else going on, it is hard to get too much done.

Another coon? Wow, you may really need to think about a business for them! lol Btw, did you get any of those storms that hit around KC Saturday night/Sunday morning? They didn't get this far north, but we have a chance tonight and tomorrow. I guess we were under a thunderstorm warning Friday night, but I must have slept right through it, didn't even know until I read an e-mail about it the next morning!

I missed you guys over the weekend too, but I came into work for a bit Sat. morning and had a brief convo with thechickenchick. I wonder where she is today?

I have no idea why the thread got locked. It happened this weekend and I don't have access on the weekends. People were getting too emotional about what to do with the dog I guess. That's Ok..I was mad at Diane Sawyer...I didn't want to get into a deep convo about the baby or the dog, so it's fine with me.

Michelle..We got alittle rain Sat morn but that was it.
Also NY, I'm glad it's you doing the roos. I hate that. I'm just an old softie anymore.

hey charmed one--don't blame you for not caring about the thread getting locked-A few times I had a thread locked because people were getting emotional over something way off topic--good for you though. we are going to have to swap photos of all our DONE stuff to see what we've all been up to this summer!

The topic did need to be locked. People were getting way too passionate on both sides and it had gone way off topic anyway.

We have processed meat birds once and I thought I couldn't do it at all. But hubby and son did the deed, a friend plucked and my mom did the cutting. By the end of the day, Destiny and I actually jumped in a bit to help. (not the killing though). It wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be! We have a rooster right now that it wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit to put straight in a pan! But, we would like to replace him first since he is our only buff orpington roo that we have.

Sad news about the baby kittens, apparently during the remodel/door open/ carrying in sheet rock, one of the toms (I assume) got into where they were and appears that he tried to pull one out of the basket. Destiny found it dead, with its back legs and tail torn off.

I am just feeling awful about it, it was one of the black ones. I hate to think one of my babies would do something like that, but goes to show they are capable. The final 2 are on lock down in Des' room, door only open for Mama to get in and out just in case someone sneaks in again. She usually does keep her door shut, but was leaving it open because of the kittens.

The little kitty we took in a few weeks ago went 20 miles south to live with my sister yesterday. She lost one of her long time beloved cats, so Zee went down to see if she would fit in with the remaining 2. I am not sure how it will work out. I told her she could bring her back if it didn't. I no sooner got home and didn't realize how much we all missed the mischievous little thing!

And oooo I love photos! We picture adventure often and love to take pics of everything! I just try to refrain from posting so many so I don't bore everyone!

poor baby kitty:-( how terrible to find huh? Im so sorry! I once saw my cat get run over right infront of me on Valentines day! that day sucked! Pictures oooh pictures yes. I will have to really start taking them!!! new coop-new chicken "projects" Im traveling to meet 2 fellow BYCers this month-and pucking up my frizzles! I hope havent really heard from her again since she said she would meet me ...
