Thanks Terrie! I see several recipes on that thread to try!

That's when supper is fun! Destiny and I love being on our own for meals. We can't decide between cereal, junk food, fixing a full huge meal for 2 or what we want! We have been known to ice cream for a meal and snack foods later or vice versa!

How funny is that?!!! Does everyone have a free dinner nite when the DH is away??? DH hates sloppy joes and chili dogs so me and the girls always had one or the other when he was away!! We have some good memories around our free dinner nites!!

My hubby also doesn't like sloppy joes and Colton won't go near a hot dog! So, we also sometimes plan our meals around that. They also won't eat creamed corn or hominy, so we like to fix those too! And then curl up with a good book and/or movie!

My family isn't too picky, but I usually feel guilty for not fixing them a good supper that everyone likes.

Oh yeah! Have all the good conversations AFTER I leave! See how you are?

Btw, my tacos really hit the spot last night!

Good morning girls! Garlic is good birth control, however spending the weekend with my SILs 3 boys and 1 girl all under the age of 8 is even better!!

Just wanted to say a quick hello. I have to be in town early this morning.. A good friend of mine as Fibromialgia so it is hard for her to have her hands above her head for long periods. So I am going to dye her hair then we will go to lunch. I am dying to check out the second hand store! I know that probably sounds nuts, but around here thats about it for shopping. I haven't been needing to go to town until late to pick Raymond up so I haven't been in there in a while. You never know what kind of fun things I may find!!

Have a good day everyone.

Okay guys, I am going to tell you something and it is your job to tell me I am over reacting or whatever. I want your honest opinion on this!

I am not much of a softball fan at all. It isn't the girls' fault, I just get tired of hearing about it from our sports director. So some of that may influence my feelings about this whole situation. That being said, we have an excellent team this year. We have a pitcher who blew everyone away as a freshman, but the last 3 years we have lost at districts. This year she is a senior and really kicking some butt! Our team is in the final four, one game away from the state championship this weekend. First game is Friday at 11am. They freaking canceled school here because of it!! I was like you've got to be kidding? Nope. Now mind you, we used to get this Friday off because of parent/teacher conferences, but the football coach had a fit a few years ago because he didn't like the boys to have the day off of a district game, so they put the day back on the calendar. So, I am at lunch yesterday, still ranting about it when hubby tells me he has heard that the football boys have to go to the game. I really thought he was kidding! The game is an hour and a half away, starts 8 hours before the football game! (they just so happen to be playing both games in the same town). Sure enough, Colton says they have to be on the bus at 9am, game starts at 11 (I have to send $7 for admission), the quarterback club is paying for the boys to have pizza for lunch and then they are taking them to a movie?! (which I again have to send money for). The football game kicks off at 7. Am I out of line for thinking this is ridiculous?? I understand the girls have every right to be supported and I understand some people want to go to the game, but shouldn't it be up to the parents if they want their child to miss school that day and should it be mandatory that they parade all those football boys all day long? Besides the fact there are 60 boys on the team! Are they nuts?? I was mad enough a few weeks ago when they made the vo-tech people come back early for school to attend a softball pep rally. They missed part of class and were expected to either go into the school for the rally or sit on the bus until school was dismissed for the day. Here's where I mention that when there is a football pep rally, they don't bring them back early, so the football boys themselves don't get to attend! (there are no softball players in vo-tech)! And that particular day the game was moved to the next day early that morning, so there wasn't even a game that afternoon! Also on Monday and Fridays when the football bus leaves before the vo-tech bus gets back, the players have to miss the whole day because they won't let them drive down and they won't bring them back early. (Colton has had to miss 10 days since school started because of this!)

Sorry for ranting so long, but everyone else has heard about it, so I wanted you guys to tell me what you think. If I am out of line, say so.
