My MIL lived on St joe ave. All of DH relatives are still there and St Louis. I haven't been to the mental hospital. Afraid they'll keep me!! Have heard lots of stories about it though. My DH takes me around to look at all the old mansions and stuff. If St Joe wasn't going to hell in a hand basket, one of those big houses would be a great bed and breakfast!
You don't cook with garlic????
Honey, we need to talk!!!
The mental hospital is no longer there. It is just a museum that has stuff collected from it and displays of the different techniques they used through the years. It is very interesting, but also just a bit creepy! My Mom always threatened me when we would go shopping that they would keep me if we got close enough to them!
It is a beautiful old city if you hit the right parts, but you are right. Some of it now is downright trashy! I do like to go shopping now that they have put in all the new stores. It is closer for us than KC and I will actually drive in that town! We also have to go on Monday for our last JV game down there. The next time you go, have Hubby drive you through Krug Park. Destiny and I have spent hours there. Besides the huge duck pond, they have deer, buffalo and long horn cattle up by the old castle area. We love to meet her friend from Belton there and have picnics and explore the park!
I must admit...I am not much of a chef.
I have really been trying harder, but my Italian is Ragu with some ground beef in it, boil the noodles and maybe get some breadsticks out of the freezer section.
