Sorry I didn't get to chat with you much Charmed. Have a great weekend. Can I come with you to the Antique shops!! I love them. I collect Vintage chicken/rooster salt and pepper shakers. Sometimes if one has been broken or is missing you can get a single one for $2 or 3 ! Have fun!

They only sell cheese there. They make it somewhere else so it isn't as neat as Tillamook. But, it's all we have around here so it will have to do. They let you sample all the cheeses so I think we will go there for lunch!!! lol

Glad to see you back! This time change has kicked me in the butt! I blame it on the whole turning 40 thing!

Haaa, hey there, I am finally back! Thank you for the welcomes!

Let's see...a little about me. We live back in a forest and have three sons- the oldest graduated public school, and is attending college part time. Our two younger sons are 12 and 6 and I homeschool them. DH works for the railroad on the evening shift, so after a few hours of dark, I am restless and look for a craft project to work on, a book, or enjoy reading a few message boards I am on.
We raise shelties and have a few chickens- Rhode Island reds, and now a few call ducks. Last year our middle son took a broiler chicken project in 4-H, this coming year he wants to take the ducks. With the shelties, I enjoy herding and we show the dogs a bit in Ukc and Akc.

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Jazzy its great to hear a little about you. It sounds like you live in a gorgeous location. We live on open prairie and have one single little apple tree. I have rescued the poor thing. It looks better every year but still doesn't produce apples. Everyone says it never will again, but I will show them!

I'm so tough!!

I am so sorry I wasn't on to chat with you. My husband was off this weekend so we got errands done on Saturday and yesterday he helped me bring in all the Christmas decorations. Of course now there is a tiny path through the living room until I get it all gone through! We did buy a fake tree this year (on saturday). We have had a real tree since we have been together.

I have one child and am a SAHM. My husband works only 3 days a week but they are 14-16 hour days with an hour commute. So he leaves before 4 am and is back anytime between 7 and 9. So some days you will see me on a lot and then you won't see me for 4 days!! Like I tell the other girls though, PM me if you need me becasue Hubby is on off and on when he is home (usually early in the morning because he can't sleep past 3:30 am

) and he will tell me if I have a pm.

I hope everyone has a great day ahead of them! It is bill paying day for me and I hope to make some progress on this jungle of Christmas decorations.

I also wanted to tell you I finally heard from the DR. They can't see Raymond until the 14th of Jan!!

They are acting like this is no big deal, and maybe with his history it isn't, but they haven't told me that. I am going to call his original DR , the one I first called, and see if he thinks it is ok to wait that long. Until then the poor kid can't drive, work out in PE or be left alone! I can't get them to tell me if all that is even necessary because I can only talk to a receptionist who can't tell me a flippin thing!! Deep breath, rant over!!

Happy Monday everyone!!

Good Morning Everyone!

jazzy--Glad you came back to talk to us. Sounds like you have a great family! I work at a small market country music station, hubby is an auto mechanic. The rest is pretty much in my signature. Feel free to ask any questions if you need to get caught up on something!

charmed--Hope you enjoyed this beautiful weekend, sounds like we are in for it again. Do you ever go down to the Plaza to see the lights or to Longview Lake?

terrie--We have a cheese factory not far from here in Amish country that I would love to go to sometime. My daughter is a cheese eating fool! My ducks and geese now demand a handful of cat food every morning when I go out to feed! They are loving being right in the middle of everything in the yard!

NY--We are still here for you. Hope you are doing well!

thechickenchick--Missed you on Friday. Let's just hope that they do think Raymond is nothing to worry about. That is why they aren't in a hurry. I was just thinking about him last night and was going to ask for another update.
Colton said he would absolutely not go to the dance if we went, so I backed down. The ag teacher even called me right before the dance to see if we were coming and he still wouldn't let us. But that is okay, he told hubby that the paperwork didn't get filled out for this girl to go with him (she is from a different school) so that was a no go! He still went and had a great time.
I also want you to know I love, love, loved The Blind Side Friday night and my popcorn with the extra butter and ranch seasoning was delicious. And I thought of you the whole time I was eating it! The theater was a madhouse because of the New Moon fans, so we took our seats and waited for them to all get settled in so we could even go back to the table to fix our popcorn! Yesterday we went to see New Moon and I really enjoyed it too. I thought it was even better than Twilight!
You would be so proud of Thunder (at least I am). He is not only getting along with Pocono in the house, he is letting him sleep in his bed! I almost had a heart attack the first time I saw it, but Thunder just sleeps on the blanket beside him!

Oh Thunder is a sweetie isn't he!!

I am glad you liked both movies. Now I really can't wait to see BlindSide. It isn't at our little show house yet. But I am going to watch for it and maybe hubby will take me on a date!! I am pretty sure Raymond wants to go too so a family night out!
woot.gif

So even though you didn't go to the dance it all worked out. Thats fantastic! I am sure our boys think we are just insane to worry about them they way we do.

Like I tell Raymond, its my job!!

The Blind Side isn't at our theater either, we had to go to Chillicothe to see it. Our theater likes to wait until everyone has already seen a movie before they bring it in most of the time. But I think they learned their lesson by waiting a few weeks to bring in Twilight because New Moon was here on opening day! We went yesterday to the matinee and it was only $5 a person! We skipped the popcorn and drinks since we splurged on Friday night. I think The Blind Side is a whole family kind of movie, but Colton stayed home. We did the Wal Mart thing and waited for the 9:30 movie (way past his bedtime!). My sister went with us instead. Now New Moon, even hubby is getting into those movies, anyone watch them? Destiny read all the books and has chattered about them since they came out. When Twilight rolled around, her friend backed out on going so I went as a motherly duty. Fell in love with them. We fight about it because she is Team Edward and I thought Jacob was a hottie from the beginning. On the way home, she admitted she was turning Team Jacob! I told her Mom is always right!

I am just glad Colton actually went to a dance and enjoyed himself! He also went riding Saturday. He had to take his coveralls and coat to the car wash to wash the mud out and it took me twice in the washer to get them clean!

Oh, and I was going to tell you girls that we already changed our decorations for the Christmas tree! We found...are you ready for this...black ornaments and gold ones at Wal-Mart!
woot.gif
I am so excited to get it put together!!

Colton sounds like me! My bedtime is 9!! I have always had early morning jobs. Of course now I don't but Hubby gets up so early that he has to be in bed at 9. So I follow. Now it is a habit. When his sister and her family are here they want to party until 2 AM. They make fun of us when we are ready to go home at 9. Hey by the time we get home from town, lock up the chickens, let the dogs potty, feed them, and get into bed, its an hour past our bedtime!!

Black and Gold!! You are great! I love your dedication and enthusiasm!! You must post a picture when you get it decorated. We did find our skinny non-lit tree at Home Depot this past Saturday. Hubby put the lights on last night and I hope to get it decorated today. It fits perfect and looks pretty darn good for fake.

Oh!! I am so excited. As you know I don't have much for family left and my closest relative is an Aunt that lives an hour away. We see her very seldom. Well we were in her town shopping for our tree and ran into her. She invited us to her house(or possibly her cabin, not sure yet) for Christmas!! Her and my Uncle have always had a special place in their hearts for Raymond and he is their God Son. Much to my disbelief and happy surprise hubby said yes!!!! See his sister lives in the same town and we assumed we would have to go there. His folks will be in New Mexico. However we will all be together(except for Raymond, who will be getting on the train on wed to see his Dad) for Thanksgiving. So I am hoping they understand that I want to spend Christmas with some of my family.
