My evening was great! I figured out I don't need a snuggie. I have Eddie, who is missing his daddy something fierce, on my lap, a cat that likes to lay on my chest(soft and cushy I guess) LOL ! And one that lays on my legs. I keep really warm!! Poor NY! She misses all the convo during the day and we're gone at nite!
Big hugs your way NY!! Hope you get to talk today! I need my NY fix before the weekend!
Oh Michelle! I think meeting in St. Joe would be a blast! Maybe one of these Saturdays before Christmas?? Let me talk to DH when he gets home tonight. He could do the rounds and see relatives while you and I go for coffee and some window shopping?? What do ya think??? St Joe is about 2 hours from home.
Chickenchick....I found the recipe for zucchini bread! Here it is...
Zucchini Bread
3 eggs
1 cup oil
2 cups sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
2 cups grated zucchini
3 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts (your chosing) optional
raisins (optional)
Pre heat oven to 325*
Beat eggs until fluffy. Add oil, sugar and vanilla. Fold in zucchini. Add dry ingredients and/or nuts and raisins. Pour in greased baking pan(s) Bake for 1 hour
Now Chickenchick...I have not made this recipe but have ate it and it's great. It's so good that I have been thinking about buying a zucchini so I can make this myself. I want to make some mini loaves to send to my DD in Colorado. Hope you like it!
Michelle...NY...copy this down! It's the best!
Meeting up sounds great! Now to find the time...Are Sunday afternoons available also? I don't do coffee, but I would go for a hot chocolate or Mountain Dew! NY, chickenchicken, Terrie....Anyone want to join us?
I will write down that recipe and share with Mom and MIL. My in-laws make tons of zucchini bread and usually send it our way! My FIL usually plants tons of it in his garden for that purpose. One year Colton brought home from boy scouts one of those plants you start as seeds in a styrofoam cup, wasn't sure what it was, but he wanted to plant it, so I told him to put it in the tire in the middle of the yard with the flowers. Next thing I know, the kid is growing zucchini out the
with that one plant. FIL had no luck growing it that year, but Colton had enough to keep everyone happy! He has always had a green thumb, didn't get it from me!
Destiny and I started to put up the fiber optic tree last night to use our green ornaments on. It has been cramped in a box so long that we had a heck of a time fluffing it out. Hubby is going to help us so we can get it decorated too.
