I am sorry I didn't see this sooner! She is ok. Her boss had a heart attack and things have been chaotic. I am so sorry I dropped the ball on this girls.

I did call Charmed and left her a message a few minutes ago because I know she will not be on until tomorrow. She even sounds like a sweetie

Good Morning Peeps! I am finally here. Yes, it is very chaotic, but hopefully things are leveling out around here. Des and I came back last night and left Carol at the hospital with John. Their son Jason lives about 30 minutes away, so he could be there pretty quick if they need him. They put a stint in John's heart and he seems to be doing well. Will hopefully be put in a regular room sometime today and get out in the next few days. We are going back this afternoon and staying until he is released and will bring them home. A winter storm event is to move in tomorrow night into Friday, but we will deal with it when and if we have to.

I want you all to know I have NEVER ever driven in the city before and I was scared to death!! But, when something like that happens, you gotta do what you gotta do and I was so proud of myself!! I was a nervous wreck, but Destiny was a big help and we made it! Charmed, I want you to know though, I was one of those slow drivers that I always complain about, but I DID IT!!

Update on Luke, he is a very lucky young man. According to docs they think his appendix ruptured on Wednesday and he didn't go to the ER and have surgery until 2 am Sunday morning. Gangrene (spell?) had already set in his intestines and they had to take part of them too. He is still in the hospital, cranky, tired and doped up on morphine. Colton was a bit scared to go see him, but finally went last night for a while. I don't know if they all know how very blessed he was to have a guardian angel looking over him!!

chickenchick--I am so sorry to hear about Nate! I have been sending prayers up constantly for him, the family and you all too!!

My list is getting long, but he is right up there with everyone else! I was talking to Des about all the people we have in the hospital, like Luke, John, John's mom, Tonna's sister in law, her father in law and I also added Raymond's friend Nate to the list. She is hoping and praying for the best for him too!!

NY--How did the inspection go??

Btw, That means a lot to me that you guys worried and checked on me yesterday!!

Michelle that is great about you making it in the big city. Always feels good to be able to do something that you were afraid to do befor. Glad to hear about your sons friend. That is awesome that he will be ok after going that long with gangreen like that. How much intestins did they have to take? My Bro lost one 3rd of his and is doing pretty good so that just made me wonder.

Chickenchick really sorry bout Nate. Will keep him in my prayers too. Hope so much that he can pull through this.

Quiteheart I know just what you mean about being ankle deep in mud right now. We are too and I am sick of it.

I packed up me and Isaac and we went to stay over at my mothers last night since DH wasn't going to be back home till today. Isaac cries for his Papa if he is not here at bedtime and I figured it would be easier for him to go to sleep if he was with his Ah-Mah (his name for my mother). He did great and never asked for Papa.
This morning when I left I got stuck in the ankle deep mud and for the first time I was alone in the 4x4 truck and had to figure out how to put it in 4x4 and get it in gear again and got it right the first time, rolled right out of the mud and figured out how to get it back out of 4x4. I have NEVER been able to figure out how to do that and now it is easy. I was so excited I had to call my DH and brother lol.

I am so sorry to hear about Luke. That is scary that gangrene had set in. He is one sick young man. I will continue to pray for his quick recovery. Like you our list of prayers is getting long! I posted on Nathans website that I had "crazy chicken ladies" all over the country praying for him! His step mom emailed me to tell me thanks and she thought raising chickens sounded pretty cool, not crazy!

It IS nice isn't it! I love the "sister-hood" we have here.

Congrats on driving in the city too! I am with ya on that one. I feel a little more confident but so far I can make it to both of the hospitals, thats it!
