A new Cabelas opened in a city about 4 hours away. Hubby had to deliver a truck there a couple of months (Billings MT) ago, so I went with him. It was the first C> store either of us had been in. It was so nice! I loved the fish!

Cabela's is a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive for us, so we don't get there often either, but I love looking around there! The huge fish are neat, but I really like the "stuffed" animals!

Nah, I didn't bring anything with me, but I have lots of pen and pencils I can fling their way! I am the office supply queen around here, so I have plenty of objects if needed. So, far the last few days I have just been staying to myself and steering clear of the ones who are being jerks. I have only said a few mouthy phrases and have refrained the rest of the time. That is pretty good for me and I have been proud of myself!!

Good morning all. thanks for the PMs. Sorry I had not posted I had forgotten all about BYC until I got an email saying I had some PMs. In the past I got an email every time someone posted something which served as a reminder of this thread and the lovely people in it.

Happy to report my girls are all well and laying. I am getting 3 eggs a day. The late bloomers Agnus and Matilda lay bigger eggs than Hilda who started laying eggs before them.

I hope you are all doing well. I will have to go back and catch up on some of the current news around here.

Sorry I haven't been on lately

, just a lot of stuff going on that has sent me spinning. I have depression issues and really didn't want to sound like I was always down

. I've been spending a LOT of time with my chickens which helps a LOT

.
I do have some good news, my sis and nephew should be here in about 3 weeks

and I have a hen acting like she's gonna go broody

. I'm collecting eggs several times a day, started yesterday, so that when she decides she's ready I can put her in my broody box with a nice size clutch of eggs

. I've never done this before, don't even own an incubator... yet, so this is gonna be a really neat project for me and my kiddos. I'm also passing on my love of chickens. I caught my son, 12, browsing coop threads on here the other day

. Ed's daughter is really getting into learning all about chickens and really wants to get some turkeys

Hi Everyone! DH brought a new pump home and it works great! I could empty an olympic size pool in 5 mins! LOL! Haven't heard from DD yet. I don't think she left Thailand until 3pm yesterday our time.

Glad to see everyone checking in. We don't take offense to your absence. We are just a pack of worry warts!

Yes, My mom is the worst about worrying. I didn't think I would ever be like that, but I seem to get worse and worse as I get older!

Speaking of Mom, she came to see me again today. Step dad had a check up on his cateract surgery Friday. (That I missed because I was with John). We had a nice lunch and went to a little store here in town that is closing up. They carry scrapbook stuff and had everything marked down 35%. Since I am supposed to be doing that football one for Colton we got lots of paper for that and then some for FFA, wrestling, boy scouts, etc. I even got some John Deere paper! Also for my sis, I got 2 different Washington DC pages since she has been there many times and a really cool sister page and stickers so she could do a page just of me! lol
