Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

This has been a LAZY day.... and I have enjoyed it!
We took Isaac out to play in the snow for almost 2 hours this morning and he LOVED it. After 2 hours we still had to almost drag him in kicking and screaming lol. I showed him how to make a snow ball and throw it at his Papa and he really liked that!
Made homemade biscuits for the first time and they were pretty good. Put really dark honey over mine and it was almost like having molasses like when we were kids. Dh didn't like them cuz they were too crumbly he said.

I have tried at least 3 diff. types of happy pills over the years but the side effects were worse than the symptoms so I don't take any now but the happy liquid does kind of help sometimes.

Glad to hear the Coltons made it safely. Hope Luke can get better soon. The tube in the stomach sounds like they are going to drain more infection out. My MIL had to do that after her gaull bladder ruptured. She was in the hospital for 3 months with the tubes. Will be praying that Luke dose not have to stay that long.

RiR those are pretty birds. I think their first cousins live here in TN too.

I'm supposed to be on Zoloft, Busbar and Tarazadon, I have to get back on insurance so I can go back to the doctor. I've been off them for about 2 years now

Glad the guys made it to the hospital. We almost lost my niece 2 years ago when her appendix burst, she died twice. It can be really scary but hopefully he'll pull through just fine

My SO has been worried about me with me not being on them. He knows I have a bad habit of going off them when I feel "fine" and then spiraling about 6 months later

. This is the longest I've been off them in the last 10 years. Mine's partly genetic and partly enviromental

. Crumbly biscuits are THE BEST, mmmmmm.
I had a really bad reaction to Paxil, same as my Dad. My sis and Mom had a bad reaction to the Zoloft

. Sorry none of em worked for you.
Do you happen to sell day olds?

I have a question for y'all. How long did your hens act broody before they actually decided to stay broody? I'm antsy to have some new babies. Even if she doesn't go broody I'll be getting some RIR's and Austrolorps next month, maybe a couple turkey babies too.

Hopefully I didnt miss anyone!

Today was a super busy day, it seems like Friday would never come. But thank goodness it is Friday tomorrow!
woot.gif

Saturday I will take a trip to Lowes to pick up some wood and other materials for a breeding coop for my new Seramas that I will be getting Feb.20th!
wee.gif

Also I will swing by TSC to get some feed,calf-manna,boss,a brooder lamp, and whatever else I can find.
big_smile.png

The 20th I am going to the Chattahoochee Valley Poultry Show. I am super-duper excited. I will take plenty of pics and videos to share with those who will not be able to go. There I will hopefully pick up some Seramas. I cannot wait.
Tomorrow it is supposed to snow. I wouldnt even call it snow though.lol. If there is one inch here, all schools seem to close down. Not too long ago and school near us closed down for 3 days because of the snow.
Anyways, who plans on buying some fuzzy butts at TSC this spring? I will be getting an assortment for a B-Day present for a relative of mine. I cant wait!

I hope everyone has a great night,

Ummm. what is all this talk about broody??? are my girls going to do that? usually they lay their eggs and call me to go pick them up and give them a treat and the cycle goes on. None have stayed in the nest taking care of the eggs.. I have 1 nest for 3 girls and they all take turns every morning when I go around 9-10am there are 3 eggs waiting for me in the nest and the girls are ready for their treat for their accomplishment.

Hey RIR--yah broody...your girls will want to sit on those suckers forever if it ever hits them. I had a 6 month old BO go broody for a month this winter. I felt so bad I removed those fertile eggs everyday-you know how I got her to stop? I put her in a snow bank! I felt so bad for her she really wanted to be a mommy. Ill let her go again this summer if she wants...

if one of my girls does that.. I am going to have to place an order for your eggs and let her sit on those.
Nice to see you again Sonew, how about a margarita for old time's sake?

I bet you'll have a lot of fun at the show, I've never been to one but from reading here I really want to.
Sounds like what they do in Florida, 1 snowflake and schools close, jk

I'll be getting my chicks from either bycers or from First Monday. There's one couple we've bought all our animals from, except the silkies, and have had really great experiences with them

yeah I've been thinking about adding a bantam white silkie female to my group of ladies. I don't want to order 1 day olds from the hatchery because I have to order them in groups of 25. "I'm living for the night"

My plan is to buy a couple of adult seramas, hatch eggs from my stock, sell some hatching eggs, buy some hatching eggs from some BYCers with silkied seramas and frizzled seramas and then hopefully I will have a couple of breeding groups then to start selling eggs, started birds, and adults
