hey all, guess what I was talking to one of my neighbors and apparently he got a bator and it can hold a couple hundred eggs.. yikes! anyways I was told I could make use of it whenever I wanted. they are going to be putting in a hundred cornish and I asked to get 3 to see what cornish are and how quick they grow. Then I can take them get processed and see what they taste like. Hurray for neighbors with bators.

RIR that is awesome that your neighbor is willing to let you use their bator! Well, I guess you need a roo befor your eggs will do anything lol. Just remembered you only had hens.


Quite- I just looked where you are and we are almost 2 hours apart I think. It takes me 45 mins. to get to Jackson and an hour and a half to get to Memphis. I am planning to sell most of the chicks I hatch out but unless you don't mind driving that far for mixed breed chicks for $1 I think it might be too far. Hey I guess we could meet in Jackson some time.

I would hatch eggs I get from sonew. I only get eggs from her, though I have yet to order any from her. hehee.. in the meantime I will get those chicks that will be hatched in that bator and see where I go from there.

Good Morning Peeps! It is indeed Friday!

I am glad to see everyone checking in! We have gotten light snow since yesterday and a chance all the way through Monday. Oh spring, where art thou?

Update on Luke: I finally got to talk to his mom last night. Colton had her call me. Yes, the blood was from his drainage site, apparently a lot of it because she said she was going to have to shampoo her carpet when they get home. He should be in surgery now for another drainage tube. It will be his third. They are also checking to see if they did get all the gangrene. His mom promised to keep me informed on what is going on. She said they really enjoyed the visit with the boys and they did fine driving down and back. They also stopped at Hooter's for supper on the way home! They promised Luke they would take him there as soon as he was feeling up to it. I think we are going to visit Sunday. I have a touch of cold/sinus to get rid of first.

Its Friday. Finally, it seemed this week would never come to an end. Only 8 more days till I get my seramas.

michelle: I hope you have a good visit come Sunday.

Here the news is going crazy over the southern "snow storm". Schools are closed and there isnt a snowflake in sight. We will see if it actually snows. It seems like the whole state is shutting down because of an inch or two of snow.
