Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Good Morning! Yesterday was such a pretty day, the sun was shining and it was in the 40s. I left work early and even washed my van. Yep, you guessed it...sleet and snow this morning!

I left work early not only to wash my van, but to get some animal feed. I get all done and start to head home to catch a game of curling on TV when Tonna called. The news for her sister-in-law is not good at all.

She has been sent home to get all her affairs in order and is to go back to the hospital next week. So, I turn around as soon as I got the call from Tonna, I turned around and spent the rest of the afternoon with her and took her out for a drink and drove her home. It is going to be a tough couple of weeks.

Hatching, hatching everywhere!! I would just like some grass for the birds I do have to enjoy! I am sure the first sign of spring, I will be having hatching fever right along with the rest of you!

Good Friday morning! Wow you were all talkative yesterday

Michelle I am so sorry to hear about Tonnas SIL. That is so sad. I am sure she is glad to have a friend like you to be there for her. Are they saying that there is nothing more they can do? Cancer terrifies me.

I am jealous that you had sunshine yesterday! We had snow flurries and gray skies. The roads turned out to be very slick going to the city yesterday, so I was very grateful that hubby was there to drive us. Being a truck driver pretty much nothing scares him. BUT... I did see him reach for his seat belt for the first time ever!!

Although it probably wasn't because he was nervous it was most likely for my benefit. Raymond and I are always nagging him about that darn seat belt!

Algo I am glad your mouth is better and super proud of you for tricking hubby into some "time off"! You go girl!!!

I can't wait to see pictures of your new fluffy butts!

NY you are just a hatching/selling/buying machine! I read the thing about onions and garlic when I first got chickens. I remember I was frustrated because I put them in everything I cook. I told hubby this means I won't be able to feed them leftovers. He told me to do it anyway and I have never noticed a funny taste.

rir I wish I could look at exercise the way you do. I however do not enjoy running but I hope by running in place inside with the Wii now that when it gets nice out I will be in good enough shape that I will actually enjoy running around the oilfields out here. The scenery isn't much but the smell of the fresh air and the fields plus the peace and quiet (with the exception of a squeaky oil well) will be nice. I must have inspired hubby a little as the past 3 days he has hopped on the StairMaster while I was running.

sunshine don't feel alone. I have to wait to hatch too. At least a few more weeks. I am really jealous of everyone that has fluffy butts on the way

Tonna is pretty strong, but when her brother looked her in the eye and asked "She's not ever going to get back out of that hospital, is she?" was pretty heartbreaking. Those little girls are only 4 and 11, my heart goes out to them!

Brandi was told she has about 2 weeks if they do nothing. 6-8 weeks if she continues what is being done right now, which is getting platelets at the hospital out here every couple of days. If they go ahead with the bone marrow transplant she has a 20% survival rate. Not looking good at all. She was lined up for the transplant a few weeks ago, but the donor fell through and because of the delay, her cells are reproducing again. She is already almost maxed on chemo, which is why the chance falls way down. She has to restart the transplant process and start chemo all over again, which more than likely her body won't like at all. I don't understand it all, but that is the gist of what I am getting. Tonna is my husband's family through her mom, her brother Jimmie is half, through her dad, but we have all gotten together and been like family for all these years, so it is like losing family to me too. I just get so emotional when I think about those beautiful little girls.

RIR--You will be proud of me, when I was trying to give Tonna (and myself) a pep talk last night, I launched into the bit that it is "all about the climb!" Destiny says "Leave it to you Mom to bring Miley Cyrus into the conversation!"

Misti at Washington Street fixed her up with a huge Kahula (?) and cream and a fresh ashtray and we were good to go last night! Today the reality will really set in when they go to the lawyer and funeral home to plan the funeral. But, I still believe in miracles, so I haven't given up yet. We have fought this thing for 2 years, gotta keep fighting!

I am soooo sorry to hear your bad news, Michelle. Maybe another donor will come through. You cant stop believing in miracles cause they happen daily. The mad chicken ladies prayer circle will keep her on the top of the list...won't we girls!

Chickenchick...didn't you take Raymond to the Dr yesterday? What did they say?

Here's to all you people with eggs in the bator....

YES! We will. Michelle that is so heart breaking. Those poor young girls. Sometimes life just does not make sense but like Charmed said you can't stop believing in miracles.

Thanks for asking about Raymond. The last test didn't reveal anything so they scheduled a 24 hour EEG for March 11th. He gets to get hooked up one day, come home looking like an alien then go back the next day to get unhooked. He will miss more school which I don't like but he of course is thrilled! If this doesn't show anything then they may try a 5 day in patient EEG. He was hoping for the OK to get to drive again but the DR said he has to wait for 3 months AFTER they figure out what exactally is going on and find the right drug to treat it with! Poor kid!

Maybe poor kid, but if I were you, I would be relieved not to have to worry about him driving around. He doesn't have to know that though!
