I get off work at 5, then leaving to stay with charmed to catch the plane in the morning. If I let Colton drive me, I should be there by 6, just in time for supper!

I talked to a friend of a friend yesterday who has some pygmy goats she would like to get rid of. I know they are well taken care of, but until we get the fence taken care of, it is out of the question. Should I give her your phone number?

Boy that is tempting! I don't have any place for them right now. DD is feeling better and I took her home friday night. I have a cold now. I don't think it's strep like she had but I'm snotty.......no really.........my nose.....not my personality

It really is tempting, especially since I know she treats her animals better than I treat my children, so they should be in really good shape! She is probably late 50s, early 60s and her husband is having some health problems so she is trying to cut back on her chores to take care of him. She has also had health problems herself. I don't have a place ready for them either and until the ground thaws, I won't get anything done!

I have been snotty too, but I think it is mostly my sinuses. Colton is still having sinus/allergy problems too. Hang in there, spring will eventually get here!!

I am home!!
Spent all day driving around in the Mississippi bottoms and man it wore me out!

We had a nice weekend too. Went to my mothers house and there was a Gene Autry marathon going on and I know we watched at least 10 shows. They were kind of short though since all the commercials were cut out.

A friend offered to give me a nubian (SP) goat a few months ago but we don't really have room for it so I never went and got it. Wish I could, he was pretty.

Afternoon all, wet and 42 here, feels like 34 though. Hope everyone is doing well. We have a half dozen RIR chicks we picked up Saturday

and fixin to put 25+ mutt eggs in the bator tonight for our first ever

. We also started our Tomato plant experiment last night

. Oh yeah, we got some Polish chickens Sunday, Ed fell in love with em, so we now have 2 more roos and 3 hens. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what they are, I think they're a mix between white and buff laced. Guess who's building the coop, hint: it ain't Ed

. I think he knows how much I love him though

The sun is so pretty today, it is around 35 here, but feels warm compared to what we have been having. I am almost tempted to go take a walk on the walking trail this afternoon!

Really hope you have a good hatch in around 21 days from now!!

My first hatch was better than my second and third that I just had last week. Mutts, for some reason, seem to hatch better than full breeds. That has been my experience anyway.



It is really cloudy here and cold 40ish. I can't complain though, the past 3 days have been really sunny and around 50. Guess it could only last so long.
I am thinking if I don't start decorating my eggs now Easter is going to sneak up on me befor I know it. Or, maybe that is just my excuse not to go do laundry?
