Ok...I say Missouri...there is no "A" at the end..... but I do say warsh and I say rurnt for ruined. Is it Tanya...like Tanya Tucker? I automatically say Tawnya cause I use to know someone and that is the way they pronounced it. So which is it again. I surely need to get this right for the next time we talk on the phone!!!

It should be better. Our basketball season is probably finally over! What are the odds that all 4 teams lost in one night? The power of prayer baby!

Speaking of prayer, did you get to talk to your friend? I can't imagine what she is feeling right now. I thought of her all night last night.

Destiny found out last night that a girl she graduated with (who has since moved away to get away from her baby's father) lost her little boy Sunday. While she was taking a shower, the little guy (2 years old) got ahold of a plastic bag and suffocated. I don't even know what that whole family is going through right now.

Anyway, I am hungry so I am going to pull out the ole Girls Scout cookies in my desk and relax!

Oh how sad. That would be so devastating. That poor mother. My heart and prayers go out to her.

Thank you for asking about D. I have not heard from her yet today. I was going to do some searching and see if there was any news on the condition of the boy. I haven't had a chance yet.

I can't believe I forgot to tell you this. I got a very "jaw dropping" phone call just before we left on our trip. My cousin was 53, single and living in Washington. My Aunt had tried for 3 days to call him from her winter home in Arizona. Finally she called the authorities and had them do a welfare check. He was found dead in his home. He had battled stomach cancer years ago so they assume it was complications from that. Neighbors, friends, work? Nobody thought to check on him? They are unsure how long he laid there. There is a thread that reminded me I hadn't told you about this. Have you seen it? It is about a woman that had been dead in her home for over a year and nobody knew she was missing.

We are just full of good news aren't we?

Wow! That is sad! I did see that thread also. A year and nobody noticed?! That is just unacceptable thinking something like that can happen and NO ONE care! Your cousin, although not that long to lay there, but didn't he have a job? Any friends? Somebody? Again, unacceptable! I am not super close to my neighbors either, but come on people! (soap box again) And we all get worried when someone doesn't check in with us as much as we think they should...

Let me know if you hear anything about that little boy. Will you give us a first name or letter so we can properly think about him and pray for him?

On a lighter note, I told you all we got the goats finally settled in their new pen and they no longer can escape? Well, not exactly. Their pen is connected to one side of the duck/goose pen, so we just left it alone since they never bother it. Also the house for the ducks/geese is on the outside of their pen with the fence around the opening, but sticks out in the goat pen. Confused yet? Anyway, Miss Bella has taken to laying on their house frequently. (for those without goats, they like to be at the highest point available) Now, she thinks it is fun to jump in the pen with the geese/ducks. We walk out and she just looks at us and goes "maaaaaa"
barnie.gif
I am just surprised that the geese have not kicked her butt yet, they have been very cranky lately to us human folks!

Good morning everyone!

PSF--Premium Standard Farms. It is a hog facility, factory they put in around this area. The factory is in Milan and the farms are around the Princeton/Newtown-Harris area. There is a lot of suing going around because apparently hogs are smelly and people don't want the farms around them. (go figure, hogs stinky?) Many, many people in our area are employed and support their families by PSF. Anyway, I haven't kept up on it as much as I should, but PSF is getting tired of us and have threatened to relocate to somewhere they will be more appreciated. Meaning, the economy is bad enough, that most people around here will be ummm "screwed" if they pull out. It is a pretty big deal and a huge meeting in Princeton a few weeks ago and one will be here in town soon with the MissourI congress people all involved. To make a long story short, I was just going to tell you (if you had heard about it) that we had a radio program on this morning about it and we had many mad callers about the whole thing. People around here are very passionate about it one way or the other.

Poor people....that stench they want to complain about is the smell of MONEY! And when it is no longer there, they will miss it!
roll.png

Exactly! And apparently there is a way for them to sue multiple times over the same thing. Instead of getting away from the farms, they pocket it and go back to court again for more money. We are in a rural area people, something is going to stink! If you don't like it, move elsewhere! It would be much easier for the troublemakers to leave than for the company and all their employees to be gone. There will probably be several small schools (not to mention businesses) that will have to call it quits.

Believe it or not, all of your goat stories make me want one!

I haven't heard from D yet. Kenny works with her BF and he said she is doing worse today. So I won't call. I did send a thinking of you e-mail. I haven't been able to find any updates on the child on-line. As soon as I find out a name I will be sure to let you know. Thank you everyone for your prayers.

My cousin worked for Homeland Security TSA at the SeaTac Airport in Seattle. His Mom can't figure out why no one went to his house. He was super responsible and would not have just skipped work. I agree it is unacceptable. We need to stop being so self involved and reach out and look out for our neighbors! (says the woman who would go a month without leaving her house if she could get away with it!

Those goats are so ornery, but so darned cute at the same time! It is really hard to discipline when they look at you with those eyes, snuggle up to you and go "maaaaa" when you are trying to be stern! Spoiled rotten things! I wish I had a video camera when Bella was out chasing that car along the edge of the road the other morning.

I was so mad, but by the time I got out the door she came running and gave me kisses.

I am so sorry about your cousin, no matter how it happened, it is still sad to lose a family member. (Well, most of the time

) I am surprised the authorities went and checked on him, that was very nice of them.

to everyone else who did nothing.

The Big 12 Tournament began today and Mizzou is getting ready to play. I would love to be home to watch us beat Nebraska, but Destiny has to be here until 5 to work the front office, so I will settle for listening to it on the radio. I would feel bad if I went off and left her. I did go by the store on my way back from lunch to pick up some of those microwaveable single molten chocolate cakes and a small container of ice cream for us to have for an afternoon snack. Third time I have been there and forgotten to pick up deodorant! Believe it or not, for many many years I have only used one certain deodorant and our grocery store is now the only place I can find it now. Even Wal-Mart has quit carrying it. I stress out if I have to choose another kind! Yes, I have some weird characteristics about me!

I had 4 of them and just finishing cooking 3, there is one more for you and just enough ice cream to go with it. I made one and took it over to Tonna. I called her and asked if she was ready for dessert, she said sure and I told her I would be right over. She was very surprised when I walked in with it. It is so quiet here today, everyone is at home watching the game. It is only Destiny, Tom and I in the building. We haven't had hardly any calls or anyone to come in either. It is a nice change of pace.

Btw, Mizzou is losing by 11 at the half.

Thinking about tacos for supper tonight. Last night I made a family favorite of frying hamburgers, pouring brown gravy over them and putting them in the oven. Served with mashed potatoes and corn we froze from summer.

60 and overcast in my neck of the woods. the girls laid 3 eggs as normal today and they are out and about. I have no more grass, or other greens growing in their run. not by choice but because they have eaten everything.

Hope everything is going well for you guys.

Thanks! I will be right over

Your supper last night sounds great! I made Orange Chicken for the first time last night. Thanks to Charmed for the recipe!

Tonight is chicken fajitas.

So I just came back from a run. I checked my phone and see Raymond called me from school. I listened to the message, he was mumbling so bad that I could not understand a word he said
barnie.gif
So I figure, oh oh, what did he do know?
hide.gif
So I called the office and explained, she said well I am not sure let me find him. A few minutes later he gets to the phone. What do you need? Are you OK? Yes Mom but you need to talk to the office!
rant.gif
I just had the "office" on the phone. Him "Well you need to tell them my PE clothes were stolen twice! TWICE??!
idunno.gif
So I tell the office gal that. She says well the first question is Does he have a lock on his Gym locker? I say No, he can't work a lock.( I then gave her a minute to let it register that a kid with one hand may not be able to work a combination lock
wink.png
) I then reminded her that his regular locker is fixed so it won't lock for that reason. I don't really expect anything to be done about it. But Raymond is pretty sure who took his clothes this last time. They were there, then he turned around and they were gone off of the bench, I mean come on, they were probably filthy enough, but I am sure they did not walk off on their own!
