Oh and I hear ya about picking out cards! I will spend well over and hour and read darn near every card there! Kenny hates going with me. So if he goes I just have him pick it out, less than a minute later we are done
Wow! You guys are quiet this morning. I got caught up easily.
Started this morning out by turning the compost. Ick. I will admit that I was lazy. The part that needed flipped the most (the very bottom) didn't get done. At the moment, we only have one HUGE compost bin so turning it isn't fun. Eventually I'll get around to turning it into a triple bin system so we can use it properly. It's amazing how much the grass clippings, etc. compact in that thing. We've been adding to it regularly all year. It'll be heaped up to four or five feet tall and it'll shrink down two feet in no time.

That is very fitting!! Sounds like the way my train of thought works too
Thank you, they are working
Did I tell you about his grades??!! I know it has only been a month, but I checked on his grades, ALL As and Bs
He is missing only 1 assignment and that was just a paper he was supposed to have me sign at the begining of the year. He misplaced it but the teacher said he could make it up with some extra credit. I am so happy! As you know FB keeps them busy and constantly on the go but he is still doing this good! This morning he asked me if he can start dating
baby steps dear, baby steps!!
Wonderful news about the grades!
Now, as far as dating goes, as an expert in teenage behavior, ahem, let me just say that there will be curfews to follow. We are more than fair giving you time with "your girl", don't take advantage of it. Also, we will not tolerate marks on the neck or any other part of the body we can see. If the said girl is hungry, by all means, feed her! Most importantly, do not settle for a controlling girl. You are young, don't let some young girl start running your life now. That is to be saved for marriage. Also the old saying there are more fish in the sea is absolutely true, if you are not happy with what you have caught, throw her back and start fishing again. There are plenty to pick from. Be choosy. The very most important thing to remember though is that although right now you think us moms are just crazy women who don't know anything, listen very closely, she may say something in the near future that makes perfect sense. You don't have to admit it, but at least take heed!

Wellll.... Technically I haven't met her yet. But she was being a little witch to Colton on Friday and royally ticked me off lol
Ah, the girlfriend. She seems to be a bit more controlling than Mom and Des would like her to be. He talks to Des more than me, so she has a story from Friday night that made her a little
when she got home. I am going to guess, looking back, the marks are probably more there for a controlling issue too. Much like a dog or cat would mark its territory! Overall, things have settled down for a while and when he is moody, we just chalk it up to her. He is going to have to learn on his own. We can only tell him so much, it is up to him to listen.
Go ahead and use it as a contract if you want. I don't know if I would take advice from someone like me who can't seem to get it right herself, but then again, hindsight is 20/20.
