Thanks. I am now even more excited.

Edited to add....Woohoo.

Go one. Grab a beer (or 3) when you get there and enjoy the game! Watch what the people around you do. If they cheer, that is your cue. If a player with horns on his helmet runs into the big wide area at the end of the field (the end zone) that is a good thing. Also if they kick a ball through the big poles in the end zones, that is worth cheering for too! I will have my phone, text me if you have any questions. Otherwise, enjoy your beer and grab some peanuts while you are at it!

O. M. G.... yes. That's probably the problem because by the end of preseason and the first game or two, you can see that the Cowboys haven't changed from last year .. so I guess he finds a reason to lose interest.

But .. NOBODY ever BEATS the Cowboys ... the only BEAT THEMSELVES .. I guess it makes a difference ..

I'm sitting here feeling like you guys are speaking in tongues...I know nothing about any sports.

I just smile prettily when hubby talks and think about knitting or something. "Yeah. You're right."

He does the same when I talk about chickens and it works out well!!

Energy hint for cravings during the day: Protein bombs.

Hubby is diabetic and we have to be very careful about managing his diet by adhering to low glycemic foods. He needs a chunk of protein every 2 1/2 hours- that's a rule *ALL* of us should live by, because if you eat every 2 1/1 hours and it has complex carbs, healthy fats and protein, you'll never get really hungry and eat a bunch. That is, of course, after you bust the sugar cravings, and that takes at least a week.

Protein Bombs

Boil eggs, pop out and toss the yolks to the chickens.
Fill with your favorite hummus.

If you haven't tried hummus, do it, as this is a dip made of chick peas and olive oil with Sesame Tahini (sesame seed paste) and spices. It's delicious and healthy, as even the fats in it are good for you and SPEED UP YOUR METABOLISM!! There are a zillion different flavors of hummus out there, but I adore the Athnos Roasted Red Pepper. Mmmmmmm.

Two eggs with dollops in the center and you've just eaten enough to quash your hunger, but the bonus is that as you digest it'll kill hunger for 2 1/2 hours.

We make dozens of these in advance like deviled eggs so there's handy finger food so we don't reach for bad stuff.

Ok, off to clean like a lunatic. The house is a typical disaster and my youngest is turning 13 today with lots of friends spending the night. I hate having to dig out, but at least we do it once in a while!

ETA: I'm weighing in w/ you: 148.8# Goal is 128.

I am glad you are joining us and thanks for the tip! I have tried hummus once and wasn't really crazy about it. Maybe I need to try a different flavor. I have been considering hard boiled eggs for a snack, you have sealed the deal on that one.

Good Luck tonight. I am not jealous of you at all! Of course, I get the curse when I have to feed 14 senior football players next Thursday.

I don't even know how much food that will take!

Could be. I am pretty well neutral as far as the Cowboys go. I just like football in general and not a particular team fan except I am a little sweet on the Raiders. I live in a house divided.

Michelle, you are such a good friend! I just like yanking your chain. I am well versed in football. We had season tickets to the Chief for 7 years. Back when Marcus Allen and Derrick Thomas were playing. I use to dress in Chief's everything. Jersey, facepaint, hairbobbles, earrings. I even had a pair of Chief's shoes. I was there in 40 below weather for Lynn Elliott's disastorious kick that cost us the playoff's. I use to hurry home from bowling to catch Inside the NFL each week. I had a 12 passenger van that was decked out for tailgating. Everyone rode with me and we had a party! Those were really fun times. I just have lost interest and DH never really was a big football fan. Nascar is in his blood. I just like imagining the looks on your face when you read what I write! Lol!
