I'm sitting here feeling like you guys are speaking in tongues...I know nothing about any sports.
I just smile prettily when hubby talks and think about knitting or something. "Yeah. You're right."
He does the same when I talk about chickens and it works out well!!
Energy hint for cravings during the day: Protein bombs.
Hubby is diabetic and we have to be very careful about managing his diet by adhering to low glycemic foods. He needs a chunk of protein every 2 1/2 hours- that's a rule *ALL* of us should live by, because if you eat every 2 1/1 hours and it has complex carbs, healthy fats and protein, you'll never get really hungry and eat a bunch. That is, of course, after you bust the sugar cravings, and that takes at least a week.
Protein Bombs
Boil eggs, pop out and toss the yolks to the chickens.
Fill with your favorite hummus.
If you haven't tried hummus, do it, as this is a dip made of chick peas and olive oil with Sesame Tahini (sesame seed paste) and spices. It's delicious and healthy, as even the fats in it are good for you and SPEED UP YOUR METABOLISM!! There are a zillion different flavors of hummus out there, but I adore the Athnos Roasted Red Pepper. Mmmmmmm.
Two eggs with dollops in the center and you've just eaten enough to quash your hunger, but the bonus is that as you digest it'll kill hunger for 2 1/2 hours.
We make dozens of these in advance like deviled eggs so there's handy finger food so we don't reach for bad stuff.
Ok, off to clean like a lunatic. The house is a typical disaster and my youngest is turning 13 today with lots of friends spending the night. I hate having to dig out, but at least we do it once in a while!
ETA: I'm weighing in w/ you: 148.8# Goal is 128.
