Hi everyone. I know yall are all gone by now and I will be getting my shower and going to bed soon but wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing first. Had a good weekend then had to work today.
Everything was going as good as a Monday can go until we got a call from the post office about 10 mins. away. Around 9am a customer came in and found the only 2 people working there that day dead on the floor. They had been shot multiple times and no one knows why.
The carrier Judy Spray was daughter-in-law to one of our carriers, sister-in-law to one of our clerks and aunt to another of our carriers. I had known her for the eight years I have been working at the post office.
The clerk Paula Robinson was my age, 33 had 2 kids and had started at my office about 5 years ago and transferred out to that office to get a permanent position. Real sweet girl, always came to work with a big smile and an even bigger "GOOD MORNING!!" lol
This whole day has seemed to be a daze. Everyone I met on the route wanted to talk about it and they all seemed like I feel, in shock. It is just so hard to believe that someone could kill 2 women like that.
Sorry for dumping this on yall....just needed to vent I guess. Been real emotional bout it, we all were this morning at the office.
Going to be interesting at work tomorrow since that post office is shut down and they are redirecting all their mail to our office.
Hope yall all have a good day tomorrow and don't get too cold Tanya! lol
