Colton didn't have school yesterday, but had to go to vo-tech in the afternoon. No vo-tech Thursday and Friday, but has school in the morning. No school next Monday, but vo-tech again. Poor kid doesn't get a day off! We used to have Friday off for parent-teacher conferences, but Coach threw a fit about them being out on game day so now it is Monday instead. That is how important football is around here.

So, the team we play Friday in week 2 of districts is bad a@#! They are state champions of Class 1 last year and have moved up to Class 2 this year and rolled over every team they have played so far. Now, up until last night, everyone agreed we are going to get stomped. Not a good attitude to have, but reality just the same. Colton comes home last night telling me they are overrated and really haven't played anyone and we are their toughest opponent this season. Coach has somehow convinced those boys that we have a real shot at winning this game. That is great, but how the heck Coach did that is beyond my comprehension! He must be one heck of a speaker to get them believing again! I hope we do have a chance, I would love to take them down and hate to be so negative about it. Maybe I need to have Coach talk to me too!

Ginger sounds like she would fit right in at our house! Poor Raymond, but that is funny!

Of course they are welcome to come. I invited charmed to go with us Saturday, but she declined. You all will have to watch on TV and see if you see us. We will give you a shout out!!

#11 ranked Missouri takes on #1 in the nation Oklahoma on game day Saturday night on ABC!

My sis, Mom, Des and I are going to be there all day tail gating and then to the game. It is my sister's birthday, so I snagged the tickets (free to the station) a long time ago. We just didn't know it would be such a big game at the time. Both teams are undefeated so far this year!

We looked at paint samples yesterday for the kitchen and living room. We (Destiny and I) found some we liked, but will probably change our minds a dozen times between now and then. Hubby is more than content with with white and if he is really adventurous, he will go egg shell or off white.

We (again, Des and I) are also working on getting the linoleum out of the kitchen/dining room. It is glued to concrete and so old the high traffic areas are a pain to get scraped up! We are inspired again and are determined to get it done and get this remodel on roll! The biggest obstacle right now is the ceiling. It is the old popcorn type that I absolutely hate! Colton says just scrape it off, hubby says it isn't as easy as it sounds. I don't understand, every time I use my broom to take down cob webs, etc, it all comes down on my head!

That image made me giggle! I had that ceiling in m Havre house. My FIL is just like your hubby, he refuses to let MIL put any color on the walls and that includes hanging pictures! They have lived in that house 12 years and it is so stark and plain. It looks like they just moved in

It has huge walls and tall ceilings, skylights. It would look incredible with some rich colors. Of course it could do without the pink carpet and blue counter tops

So, we are thinking about neutral colors. (don't want to send hubby over the edge!

) Either a tan or gray with the darker trim. Then for accent colors we are thinking about the dark/slate looking blue I used in the bedroom and a dark rich red. The dining room/living room/kitchen is one big open space but hubby wants to put up at least a partial wall to the kitchen (I won't go there right now

) so all the colors are going to have to get along! I am also painting my cabinets. Hubby tells me I don't watch my HGTV too closely because the whole room (including cabinets if in the kitchen) are to be the exact same color with just darker accents.

I think we will move him out in Jasper's new pen with him. He seems lonely.
