Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Oh yes, they rested plenty of time. However, if I put them in today they will hatch when I am gone most of the day. I want to be home when they hatch. They were just gathered on Thursday so setting them tomorrow will mean they only be four days old when I start the incubator.

That should be okay still, I think. Hatch is 16-18 days. If I put them in tonight and they hatch at 16 I'll be gone. pout.

I'm already stuffing 16 eggs into an incubator that is made for 12 eggs...ha ha... I need to be home to sneak out some of the babies as they hatch.

Edited because I apparently started to type one thing & changed my direction mid-sentence.

Just thought you gals would like to see my 15yr old DD -she is in the art club and they do a haunted high school every year-they get 5$ a head and scare the pants off all little kids that enter it-all the lights in the school get shut off too so in these photos are the only real way to see them prior to opening:)

Ewwwwwwwwww the fake wounds!

I don't go to haunted houses. Someone scared the crap out of me when I was too small to understand what they were - forced me through one when I was only 4 or 5. Never have liked anything scary since.

The rest of my family, on the other hand, likes to WORK in them scaring other people. Not me! I've guided on some trails before but that's enough spookiness for me.

Yup, hatching quail, so most likely 17 days.

I know it sounds funny when you are used to chicken eggs or duck eggs!

I have had rotten internet problems tonight again. I'm still going round and round with ATT. I spent a half hour on the phone again tonight. I think I'm up to six hours of wasted phone time. I actually added AT&T to my Verizon calling circle tonight, LMAO. At least now it won't count on my weekday cell phone minutes anymore...

Happy Halloween! We just got done with our big open house thing here at the station, had over 150 kids go through, got it all tore down and ready to head home.

Nat--Love the pics of your daughter!

Roz--Cute avatar! Good Luck with the eggs!

We went to see Lindsie Saturday. She still has feeding tube, jaw wired shut and a trach (sp?). She has gotten up some. Her nose has been reconstructed and is bandaged and she still has swelling and deep bruising on her face, but she looks much better than I expected to see. She has a dry erase board to communicate on and now has a phone so she has been texting and she has played around on the computer. She is progressing well, but it is just going to be a long road to recovery. Stephanie, the driver, came home Saturday. We went over to see her and Noah, the other kid in the car. She has a broken left shoulder and bumps and bruises but looked really good.

Wow, that's really a mess .. I've been thinking about those kids so much this week ...

I need to upload a couple pics to show ya'll ..

I had a single fav chick hatch (don't EVEN know how with the temp issues in the bator) .. chick wasn't thriving .. don't know if it was the "being alone" part or the issues with the bator..

At the same time, someone gave me a retarded silkie hen .. (I think) .. and NONE of my chickens (even the youngsters) will accept her ...

Soooooooooooo I brought d'Oprah into the garage with the fav chick ..

Put them together for little bits at a time while I watched.. d'Oprah was pretty uninterested .. but that allowed "Uno" to be all over her..

Yesterday they officially bonded .. Uno going up under d'Oprah .. she making room for her .. etc. They live together now.

Happy ending.. I'll post pics in a bit.
