She actually is a pretty good singer. I would rather her sing then pop her chewing gum.

I love to sing, and trust me I know I cannot carry a tune -- but I just belt it out like I was Olivia Newton John--who as a young girl I always wanted to be either her or bobby sherman (really never got that one).

"Let's get Physical, physical...." "Xanadu..." Great! Now that will be stuck in my head too!

I almost took a pic of her last night, but didn't. I knew you would ask! How precious was the one of Thunder cuddling with her? He rarely sits on the couch with us, but he jumped right up there between us and settled in right beside her! It was too dark for my phone to take the pic (piece of s!@#) so hubby took it with his phone. He got up there as hubby came in last night. Hubby says "he probably knows I am wanting to shoot him, but if he thinks she is going to protect him...." But, they have both settled down and hopefully this too will blow over!

That picture was adorable!! I think your hubby is right! Didn't he threaten to get rid of him about this time last year too? Wasn't he hogging the wood stove or something!!

Destiny was in control of the music, but I am responsible for her being an 80s baby (and not being able to sing)! My hubby can't carry a tune, but he reminds me of my lack of talent all the time. Then again, he doesn't try to sing either very often. I try to keep it to a minimum unless it is just Des and I and sometimes you just have to let it rip. One of my all time favorite jams (I have several though) is "Before he Cheats" by Carrie Underwood. I don't know why, but when that song comes on, I just have to belt it out!

Ummm, now that you mention it, it was right around Christmas that we took him to the vet as a last ditch effort to "rehab" him. I wanted her to tell me he had arthritis or something to explain his behavior, but instead she just told me he has always been a grumpy old dog! In his defense, he did only rip the top layer of skin off the finger, but it sure did bleed like nobody's business and looked nasty!! It was hubby's middle finger also, so believe me, he shows it to me often!

You two are cracking me up this morning!!!! I tried to make an 80s baby out of Raymond, didn't work! He does like some older stuff, like the Ramones. He was going on and on the other night about some bands (that Des probably knows

) I must have had that glazed look on my face, cuz he said, Mom are you listening?

I said yes but when you mention a name I don't know I just replace it in my head, with something I DO know, like Twisted Sister, Bryan Adams or the Scorpions

People I know "in person" seem to think it is strange. I just look at them and tell them "I grew up on a farm. I'm used to having critters around. It feels strange NOT to have them."

I mean c'mon... takes less than an hour a day to take care of them all, with an extra hour or two on the weekends. Most folks think nothing of watching tv for that long. I would rather spend my time with my critters.
