morning -35 today

my poor babies!!!!!! all have heaters enough to keep it above 20 ish so its not so bad but good grief!!!! Back from Jersey-long fast trip-tired with a headache-school was canceled that goodness-Dh's truck wouldnt start but my Kia did! haha

My wedding dress was 1500$

It was my dream dress. Then I joined a gym to tighten things up and I gained so much muscle mass I need to get 300$ in alterations to accomodate my arm muscles and thigh muscles-that dress is preserved and sitting in a box for the last 15 years--Looking back now I would have gone el cheapo-and done a huge BBQ! DH and I paid for it all oursleves and saved for over a year for it-total 17 years ago 25,000$ including honeymoon and everything

Tanya--Yes, you probably heard me Saturday morning. It was Carol and I and I have the bigger mouth, so it was probably me! I have Kelly BYC and KellyHM in my phone! I also have 2 other Kelly's in my phone too, so I have to be careful with them!

Charmed--I am so glad you got your phone finally!! We are going to bug the crap out of you!! We figured it up, we have had 15 inches of snow Wed through Sunday! I am looking at a huge pile right outside my new window and door!!

KellyHM--I am sorry to hear Wyatt was sick over the weekend. I hope he is feeling better! Good to hear from you this weekend!

Nat--How did your weekend go?

My weekend was ok-sad but fun .

Sad to see my grandfather-he is gone mentally:-( didnt know who I was or my mother and we knew that so it wasnt a surprise but to see such a once strong man -sitting in a chair in a slumped position-not really talking and sleeping all the time:-( he said he didnt know who i was but said "your pretty!" hahaha-he was always a ladies man so that didnt shock me either! haha

Got to meet up with a bunch of friends from BYC Friday night

we all went to Mommas house for an amazing feast for dinner and coctails and the best desserts-stayed until about midnight and we all left-all in all a great trip!!!

yes it is--seeing my friends was the high light of the weekend for sure-

Grandpa will be around for a long time as he is fit as a bull! but just "gone" my grnadmother will not put him in a home-shes stubborn! But she needs help so bad and all the kids are trying to force her to accept help-and I think she will as she cant even take a shower without a "babysitter there" to watch him.

Sorry about your grandpa Nat. That has to be really hard on your grandma. Does he recognize her? I have never been affected by Alzheimers. It's got to be rough.

Nat - I'm glad your grandfather is still physically strong. I know the weekend was not an easy visit.

I have a really busy day today, back and forth and all over. Actually, the whole week will be psychotically busy -- several extra meetings all over the city. I'll try to pop in some, but don't be surprised if I'm MIA until Friday. I can be caught by text messages from time to time, though!

he recognizes her and a few of his other 10 children-only the ones he was with ALOT-his 2nd oldest DD and his 2 oldest sons who he worked with for 30 years before retiring-thats it though-NO grandchicldren or great grandchildren either-but then again he didnt soend alot of time with us so I understand..


Rozz-wake up now!!! haha we didnt think it was alot of $ to spend seeing as all our friends weddings were costing 2x that much as their parents helped them or paid for it all-so we thought we were on the cheap end haha...my parents couldnt pay for anything-they didnt have money our whole lives and it was never expected-they did offer a deal to my brother and I-they had 10G saved and offered it to me or my brothers first year of college-I gave it over to my brother who in turn failed out his first semester for being a partier-

Nat--I thought of you all weekend. I worked in a nursing home for 18 years and dealt with many Alzheimer's patients, I know it is not easy!
I also am amazed at your temps! We didn't have school again today either. They have not had a full week of school the whole month of January! I just keep apologizing to the animals, wishing I could do more for them. Mr. Spoiled (Jasper) won't even go out in this stuff. He woke up yesterday morning during the snow and cried to go out, I told him he didn't want to do that right now, but he wouldn't listen, so I let him run around for a while. Thunder went out a total of 2 times yesterday. He looked out the door, he ain't no dummy! I am so ready for spring!!
