Just got word that my mom (who is a thin, healthy person) was having chest pains this morning, failed a stress test, and is on the way to the hospital in an ambulance. Prayers please...

She works as Watson Clinic (in OB/GYN) and just had to go downstairs to do the stress test (Urgent Care), but now they're taking her to Lakeland Regional (the hospital) by ambulance. I don't know whether to go down there or not.

Last time I went to the ER department there it was for my mom's best friend, who was in a car wreck and didn't survive. Needless to say I don't have good memories. I guess I should at least wait until I find out if they're admitting her or not.

I think she will be fine. I have a good feeling.

I am morose today. I've been in shiva and I had my husband help me light the candles for the dead. He helped me count how many candles I needed; one for every life I had yet to properly mourn. Basically, one for every life I hadn't yet had the chance to cry about or reflect on.

There were 46 candles.
