Kelly! What cute pics! That looks like one proud daddy there! I am also praying for your mom.
Elizabeth... I am not familiar with being in shiva. Could you explain it to me?
Tex....... you gotta watch the weirdos! Lol!
Great shoes Des! Are you going to be back on the radio any time soon?
Michelle... be easy on Thunder. He is your protector.
I have decided to give up meat for lent. If I can quit smoking, I can surely give up meat for 40 days. It's Taco John's meat burritos for my last meat meal tonight! DH went to Lawrence for work and said he'd bring me back some. I just hope I can eat them with this big hole in my mouth! It's not hurting though so I am counting myself lucky!
Well, they admitted my mom and are going to run some more tests...not exactly sure what yet. Apparently on the stress test there was something wrong with the S-T segment of the EKG, but she didn't know exactly what.
This is why I don't do well when I'm not the doc...I know enough to want the freakin details!
Quote:
Shiva is when a house is in mourning. You cover the mirrors and the woman covers her head. All pleasurable activities are meant to be refrained from - and the persons are meant to sit low and be waited on by visitors. The mourners are not even allowed to get up to answer the door, the guests must let themselves in, no words, and bring you things to make the grief easier. The woman lights a candle for every death and does a lot of prayers for the deceased.
It's supposed to be a time of rememberance, reflection, coming to terms and spiritual togetherness. You make special meals to honour the dead.
It was intended for me to 'get over' what's been going on lately. To have a spiritual release. To cry.
