Yeah, I know. It's just frustrating b/c I want to know EXACTLY what's going on. Guess I'll have to quiz the cardio guy when I get there. Bet he's going to love me!

I know you know .. *smile* .. I'm just thinking "out loud" .. It's hard to not be right there and know exactly what is happening..

Is she the one calling to give you updates, or is someone with her?

She called me once, but my dad is there also giving me updates.

Umm, usually he's a major worry wart, but he sounds fairly calm so far. I think if she has to have surgery then I'll have to be the supportive one.

ETA: He WAS ticked off that they admitted her, left him in the ER waiting room, and couldn't find any record of her for about an hour.

I haven't decided what I'm doing for lent yet, it's one of the few Catholic observances I still do. I think I should give up the smokes but not sure when I can get to the dr for some medicinal help. Hope you do well with it.


That sounds very healing Elizabeth, I really hope it helps. It took me years to come to terms with some of my losses. Do you ever do shiva for anyone still alive? That part of wikipedia was confusing to me. I really enjoy learning about other religions.

No, I'm not Catholic. My DH is. I choose to observe lent. And since Religion is not something I think any of us should discuss, that is all I'm sayin.

I'd have been royally ticked too. Hope it turns out to not be too terribly serious.

OK, just to be clear, I wasn't harking on the Catholics. My 2 best girlfriends are Catholic and I give them crap about it all the time b/c of how strict it is.

While I AM Methodist, I could really care less what everyone else does, but I do joke about it sometimes.
