Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Something has really stressed her out this morning, but she didn't tell me what it is. I gave her a pep talk and told her how it was going to be and the whole time I could hear her slamming things in her suitcase. I pointed out that Wal-Mart is right down the road from the hotel if it is something we all forgot to pack. She finally said "You are right. I am going to go to work and come back to this later." (good sis) I am expecting a similar call from Mom any time now!

Leave tomorrow morning.

Oh, funny thing.

Esther (quiet) and I discovered last night that our parents live in the same little small town .... in Florida.

Crazy small world, huh? Her brothers graduated from the same high school that I did ...

How neat is that! Do you know some of the same people?

We didn't get to talk about it much - on facebook - but it was kinda funny. We'll have to get together and compare notes. I think her dad works just a couple miles from where my folks live ..

We'll have to plan a "visit the folks" trip at the same time ...

That would be cool! It just goes to show what a small world it really is!

That was soo neat, so now I know people from my home state and from Mom's adopted home state, she was born in GA and raised in Fl. I haven't talked to my Uncle yet, but I think you were in the same graduating class, maybe a year or 2 different though. We're supposed to make a trip down there this summer, we're also supposed to honeymoon in MO this summer, hoping gas pricing don't change those plans

Since the phones have been quiet I went on Mom's facebook and cleared out her requests for her. I don't know why people send her stuff when she doesn't do apps. Now I'm goin on mine to play some games

Mwahaha! The digital camera images of the documents is going to work just perfectly. The images will have some "junk" around the edges -- a bit of the tripod legs & table top -- but I really don't care about that. The documents themselves will be in digital format, perfectly legible (as legible as the originals), and I could always "clean up and crop" the images if I ever really needed them. I won't unless it is something I end up needing to print.

No waiting for the scanner bed, etc. Just set a stack of documents under the tripod and hit the photo button. As fast as I can hit the photo button and pull the top page off the stack they are done. This house will have a lot less papers by the end of 2011. I bet I can do 500+ (or however many my son's camera battery can handle) in the time I watch a tv show. I drained his camera battery just now. (It was already low). This is easy-peasy.

The good thing about this is that I can store duplicates off site, leaving a secondary copy of every document. This is my "new" archival format for my paper crap.

I did this with a lot of family photos last year. However, my son's camera is better than the one I had then. The photos came out acceptably well, considering I'll never get access to those photos again, probably, and I was able to get tolerable results. This camera would have been a lot better, still. (I was in a less than ideal situation, with a three day visit to second cousins & a great aunt. I had to do the best I could to get copies of photos FAST while there. I have photos of family members that I knew, but had no photos of, and photos of my grandfather's side of the family. I had "no" photos of most of those people. Neither does he. A sister of his ended up with every photo. Now, I have photos of my great-great grandparents and my great grandparents, plus a variety of other relatives who I've heard stories about over the years. I even have baby pictures of my grandpa now! She did let me have a handful of the originals of the ones of him, at least.)

Michelle a whole weekend without her purse
ep.gif
I noticed mine missing yesterday, as I was heading out the door to find a notary
roll.png
I found out that isn't easy but thank goodness for small towns. I found out my State Farm Agent is a notary, thank goodness!! Also the pharmacy let me charge $10 worth of pills for Raymond. How embarrassing
hide.gif
I also had to "steal" $ from my son to pay to have the notarized papers sent to Havre. What a morning. But your right, I figured it all out with out a purse. So now i still don't know where my purse is and I owe Raymond money.

The good news is the papers are on the way and the house sale should be final on Friday, after 5 years on the market. My purse

Lets hope it is in the car that Kennny takes to work. It is parked at the shop for 3 days at a time and he didnt get by there to check. For those that are wondering why this doesnt make sense. He is a truck driver and brings the truck home most nights. He hauls oil from other parts of the state, Canada and also from right here by iur house.

Tex and Quiet a good friend of mine was raised in Florida and her parents still live there. I will have to ask her which town. Wouldn't that be something if it was the same place?!

Well that took me forever! Now I need to go back and check, you prob all answered my questions already! LOL
