Ive been ok-work stressing me out as usual and very busy with kids and such--My oldest is going to a "dance" a formal dance Thursday since no school friday-Ill take some photos and post she's such an awesome kid-she wants to go to UCLA for college:-( I told her my heart couldn't take that kind of seperation

I mean it..I'd be lost CALIFORNIA??? that is too far-how would you guys feel? She wants to be a history major and says thats the best school for it..

Seriously, if that is what she really wants, how can you not let her go? It would be hard, but she is growing up. More days than not lately I have been wishing Colton would move somewhere far away. Bad to say, but he has not been my favorite person lately.

I know I know-I need to do it-she's only in 10th grade but she is bent on going there

very Cali!!! She has not ticked me off enough for me to feel differently but I'm sure as the next 2 years come and go I will change my mind and let her spread her wings!!! That's one heck of a drive Michelle! Isn't it like 4 days drive??? your midway that's doable!!!! Sorry Colton has been a terd lately

Yes, it would be almost exactly midway! Even if you flew into KCI, you would be close to 3 of us! I know, it doesn't help much on letting go. Has she always wanted to go there or is it a passing thing? She has a little time to change her mind. Personally, I don't even have the desire to go to California, but if that is what she is set on, good for her! Have you looked at the history programs at places closer? Tell her the University of Missouri has the best campus and sports teams in the country!

I did tell her that I will be researching by next year !! I would like one closer-MI sounds great!

She's been talking about it for 6 months now-she tells everyone she's going! I did tell her 2 years is a long tiem and things could change and this morning she said "Nice try mom-I'm not changing my mind!"

Oh Nat I feel for ya! Raymond gt a brochure in the mail from a college in MA yesterday! I asked him how that got here, oh well Mom I was going to tell you.!!

Honestly I don't think he is anywhere near ready to be that far away, or is that me? LOL It will be interesting how things change the next 2 years. Mine is in the 10th grade too

I find that impossible beings I am only 27.

Michelle what has been up with Colton lately? Is he pushing his luck or does this have something to do with the L word?

Nat - eggies are nestled nice and snug in the bator. I'm hoping there are no complications from my a/c disaster.

I was up all night last night, went to bed at 8 this morning, got up at 3 and it was 85 degrees in my house.

Called the a/c guy, they came out and told me the fan motor was shot. It's about $400 to replace it and they don't carry that one b/c it's a "weird" size.

Needless to say the dogs are at work with me and Wyatt is at my mom's house so I can sleep there tonight. I felt like I was going to have a heat stroke by the time I left for work this afternoon. DH has strep throat, so I'm keeping Wyatt as far away from him as possible, so he has to fend for himself and find his own a/c.

I only went 2 hours away to college and it was worse on me than my parents. I was super duper depressed and lost a ton of weight. I'm a home body.
