Every freakin' year this happens

I think I would try the two big bolders on each side.
When I was a kid my dad got tired of replacing the mailbox. He mounted it on a big pipe, and filled the pipe with cement. It worked like a charm until a local sheriff's son wrecked his car hitting the pipe... they made him take it down lol
We ended up just strapping it to a long thick piece of cherry. Probably about 20 inches in diameter. Can't miss it. We didnt bury it so it would just fall over if someone hit it. Id like to come up with a better solution but we're losing daylight and its 20 degrees out

I feel your pain. My daughter called me at work Friday and said she had my mailbox in the back of her truck, it was in the driveway. I go through 2 or 3 a year. I am afraid to make it too solid because, hey, that's the side of the vehicle the kid rides on and I prefer a wobbly mailbox to the thought of someone being hurt because it wouldn't give when hit.

Great post. I was wondering how many of you would like to read about my practice program for improving my table tennis game? I have a robot that is more reliable than a practice partner but it doesn't pick up the balls off the floor. I'll try and get some pictures of it to share next time.

But so that you aren't disappointed, here is a picture of some washers I had to replace on my boat trailer electric winch. Pretty challenging.:lau
