my youngest 5 are all on the roost tonight with the big girls. the little rooster & his sidekick were the first (last night). now they're all up there. i had worried the big girls might take offense - but they seem very tollerant so far.
the little rooster (black australorp) seems to be reaching sexual maturity sooner than i expected. he's started crowing some & he tries to mount some of the other little ones.
i want a rooster - i just hope he's a nice guy.
