Everyone OK? Boston Marathon.

One of the victims who had died (I have been told)
Who could hurt such a sweet face?

He had just had his first Holy Communion the day before, so at least he was ready to meet Jesus. :hit
What I find amazing, though, is all the people who jumped in to help. The winners of the marathon was a bunch of combat vets who ran all 26.2 miles in full uniform, boots, backpacks, the whole nine yards. They, of course, immediately recognized the sounds of bombs going off and jumped right in to help victims. Hundreds of home and business owners opened up their houses and restaurants and hotels to the exhausted and scared runners. Many gave out free food, drinks, wifi, and offered bathrooms and beds. And some runners abandoned the course and ran to hospitals to donate blood. An outpouring of selflessness on a day of tragedy... Humanity at it's best, even when shown it's worst.

This is one of the many reasons I have so much hope for humanity. A handful of people do something terrible, and thousands of people jump in to help.

News has released this. If you have friends or family at the marathon and have not heard from them, call this number

Well I saw that they said it was pressure cooker bombs.
A couple of months ago I was looking up pressure cookers and clicked on a link that said "bomb recipes" thinking it was how to make stuff that tasted the bomb. Wonder if I will get a knock on the door soon ?

I saw where Alex Jones is saying it was the Government that did it, and Chris Mathews was saying it was right wing extremist on MSNBC.

I don't think it was a "right wing extremist," mostly because us right wingers tend to be Christians who have this thing against murdering people. It was either an insane individual or group of individuals, or, more likely, a bunch of low-life's who wanted to be like al-quaeda and set off a bomb. Only someone interested in terrorizing, but not so much in killing, would set off a bomb full of shrapnel. Sick. I hope we catch them soon.

Being Christian isn't enough to stop many extremists, neither is being any other religion....each group has members that have committed atrocities.

My gut says this is domestic. The timing: tax day, Patriot Day, close to the dates of Waco and Oklahoma City; where it was placed and when it was time to go off. It was timed when ordinary people were finishing the race. The race that people had worked to qualify for, who had been looking to PR on, and who had friends and relatives to cheer them on. It was targeted at the crowd, the ordinary everyday people who are there to cheer for people they know.

Yeah, I'm going to disagree with that. History says otherwise about the Christian killing thing.
Being Christian does not automatically make someone a good person. Being any religion doesn't make someone a good or bad person. Religion does not equal morality.
