I think they might have hatched on the same day.  Just checked... mine hatched 10-2-15.

Hope he catches up, my second pigeon grew slower also, it took 2 months for him to get completely feathered and full size but he eventually grew into a super big healthy bossy pigeon.

This is him at about 2 and 1/2 weeks, just starting to get his pin-feathers


and this is him a couple months later, the king of the loft lol


Figured I might as well post a pic of his son bravely defending his nest from me (he was also hand raised)


and his grandson on the right.

They're all gorgeous, but the son is most excellent!!!! Were you hand feeding?

Once they were about 3 weeks I started putting seeds in their brooder and they slowly learned that that was food.

Oh yeah and it helps when there are two because they learn to eat faster with the competition. Once they start pecking at it and accidently swallow one then they get really competitive and try to eat as fast as they can. They even will stare at the seeds and squeek while slightly shaking their wings as if they think it will jump into their beaks LOL

Thanks ChicksnMore, sadly a hawk got him earlier this summer

We used to have a nice pair of red shouldered hawks that never ate my birds but now a pair of coopers hawks have moved in and they perch in a tree above my pigeon cage all day waiting for the pigeons to come out. So I can't let them free fly anymore.
