Yes.. I allow all my birds for fly free.... which include the birds you mentioned, as well as,

Budgies
Zebra Finches
Ring Neck Doves
Crested Mynah Bird.

Even my Chinese Painted Quail!!!! (they escaped by accident, and I discovered they will come back to their coop to get their food in the evening like my chickens). I don't let them out anymore, as they sometimes stay out and fly around my street for a few days before coming home. I don't want to loose any to a cat neighbours cat.

My other birds all have the sense to stay mostly in my garden - up in the trees.

I think its because they know where their food is. And because they all live in outdoor cages around the garden, most hanging from a big tree... so they are used to the surroundings and noises etc.

I started allowing them out when some escaped by accident a few years ago. They stayed around the garden, and eventually went back into the cage to eat.. then I just walked up and closed the door.

I never let them all out at once either. Having some still in their cages keeps the others around too as they like to stay together as a flock.

The only birds that I lost were one Chinese painted quail which my friends dog caught in my garden when they came to visit, and 2 ring neck doves.... one just flew away never to be seen when it came out of the cage the first time. The other sadly got killed by a cat. That was 2 years ago and I have not lost any since that.

I would never do this if I lived in the city, or a busy area. My house is kind of out on its own. I would not want my birds to get caught by people who thought they had escaped.... many will fly to people.
