Everyone with bantam roosters please let me know...

Our rooster Princess sounds like his voice is changing. Not a loud crow at all. It is kind of comical. Some neighbors have asked us what happened to the rooster we miss his crowing. The rooster they hears was Martha (who decided his mission was to attack our 7 year old and then he took me on and I won. He made wonderful soup). We only have princess now for the last two years an no complaints. Even though we have large lots we have neighbors on three sides.

Seramas have a cute little crow, but it's still loud. My rooster is located outside about 20 ft from the house and I can still hear him when I'm inside. d'Uccles are louder.

Everyone pray I don't end up with boys, because I can't go through the heartbreak of having to give away another one

I have OEGB, Sebrights and Silkies. They are all loud crowers just at a higher pitch than my LF. I actually love that toy rooster sort of crow. In fact, I bought my OEGB, Nigel, specifically for his crow. Maybe your neighbors will like your boys' crows, too. Good luck!

My neighbors little roo is pretty loud, but I think it may just be that it echos through their woods, But I can hear him loud and clear in the mornings. (We are about 3 acres away from them)

I have one little bantam EE and he is LOUD!!! Very high pitched, squeaky, and as loud as my standard. My husband says it sounds like someone is choking him though. Poor little guy. LOL

What is a Sabelpoot???? I have never heard of a chicken with the word "poot" in its name! My kids would roll laughing over something like that!!!!

I believe it has all to do with the rooster. I have a Silkie roo who doesn't crow at all-yet he still mates with the girls and warns them of danger with a loud-eh, EH, EEEEH. But yeah, no crow.

I hope your bantams turn out like that. Constant loud crowing annoys the heck out of me.
