This little babe is a Barred Rock...1 week old. Our first of this breed. We were told should be a female, but since day 1 Ive had suspicion.
1. Hatched w a comb
2. Is feisty and actually bites
3. Turning red already?!?!
But, I know its too soon to tell. Just taking guesses.
If she is a he, please tell me this breed is more docile and... quieter

Yep... that little guy is loud and proud.

We live in a zoned community, so hopefully not too loud and proud... maybe I take it to meet the neighbors while its a cute fuzzy ball and they'll fall in love

The breeder said she would take it back if it becomes an issue so its no big deal. She Incubates for female but every so often a male is hatched

How does the breeder incubate for females? You definitely have a little boy haha! And a sweet broody mama
