well it depends, if they're wings aren't that large you should be fine, if they are fatter older birds then you should be fine, if they have a big enough place they shouldn't like fly away, muscovies have a homing range and as long as they know where the food is they should stay in the general area, now if they are a lean male with wings that are big enough, like to where the wingtips make an X at the end of them then they can fly. can i see some pics?

If they start flying in circles around your property, I would clip their wings. I lost my first two duck hens becous they flew away.

Ok sorry I left in a rush so ok here's the details my coop run is about 50 feet long and fence about 6 foot hight the gate is about 5 foot both are lean young(nine months old) males and there wings are clipped right now but there about to grow in so they don't have an x the last time I clipped there wings was when they started flying about 3 inches off the ground I got scared and snipped them so.....

If they've been there long enough then they shouldn't fly away (when we first got ours we penned them up for about two months (didn't clip their wings) when we let them out one female took a joy ride but came back about two hours later (don't know where she went) I don't know maybe we just got lucky

Hmmm I'll think about it.... Thanks for the advice guys :)
