Most of the cows we have butchered are cull milking cows. Two years is probably a good age, maybe you could even go a bit younger than that, depending on how large and quickly the animal grows. I'm not an expert. But, I do know that our hamburger is delicious!

I don't know much about Angus. We've had a Jersey/Angus heifer calf before. My younger brother bought her and sold her when she got to be a bigger size.
Hopefully you don't have a tornado! I think it was in 2019 that part of my cousin's farm (which isn't very far from us) got hit with a small tornado.
It is only a severe storm watch right now. The area most likely to be hit is in Alabama, Birmingham. But they told us to prepare anyway.
