Everything Chicken Chatter Thread

Some of my birds had the repertory infections so after i treat them i have to sell because the babys may have the same thing :(
The only respiratory illness I know of that can be passed to unhatched chicks is Mycoplasma Galliseptum, or MG.
Treatment doesn't kill this infection unfortunately, & most places that discover it during testing usually requires culling of the infected birds.

But since they suggested selling yours after treatment, seems to be a better outcome for the birds.

You’re going to sell birds with respiratory infections??
x2.

Probably Better to cull. It may be hard to find people willing to buy sick birds. Not to mention it‘s not nice to throw that problem onto someone else.
