yep, they won't touch it. No insurance. so I am stuck with it. or shall I say it is stuck to me. they won't even do a biopsy on it. it covers almost all of my eyelid and starting to spred down the side of my nose. my dd says it looks like I am turning into a witch! but I am not. when she gets home from college I will take a pic and post my growth on my eye on here.

Oh, gosh, Chickabator - all kidding aside, please do get your growth looked at. I'm a huge advocate of prevention...and this thing you refer to, if it's impairing your vision...that can't be good. Please get it looked at by a dr.!!!

Oops - sorry, chicabator; my post was late (after you mentioned no insurance). You know, it might be a good idea to post a pic on here - maybe someone else has had a similar growth and can tell you what it is! Sorry 'bout this.

Well, I got the pic of it and spent all evening uploading 251 other pics from my camera and had a hard time uploading pics onto photobucket

I'm not a computer nerd at all and hubby couldn't help me, he felt so awful.

Don't worry, I promise it will be posted, I'm at work right now, so can't be fooling around with photobucket now. I'll get it going this evening (gotta learn this stuff anyway)

There's good news and bad news. The good news is they got all the crud out, it was really infected - majorly - they scooped out all the crud, packed it with gauze and prescribed heavy duty antibiotics. When the infection is all gone, they will remove the sac.

It was really bad, he has to go back tomorrow afternoon so they can look at the wound and decide if he has to go to the hospital for intravenous antibiotic

I just dropped him off at home so he could rest.

OK for you gross fiends - that stuff stunk!! That sucker was deep. This should serve as a warning to anyone that has one - don't wait til it gets infected, get rid of it as soon as you can.

I will post pic this afternoon when dd gets home with camera. Mine is broken I have got to get another when we get our tax check. and no I don't qualify for anything. I have to pay out of pocket and to be honest I can't afford it.

WOW, Luna! That's amazing it was so infected! IV antibiotics = major infection, for sure! Poor man! Thank goodness that infection didn't spread...well, guess that's what the antibiotics are supposed to do, eh? Stop it from spreading? Holy cow. I'm so glad he finally went in!

and somehow...i'm not as giddy as I thought i would be...

hope his infection clears up right quick.

and i'm glad i didn't have to smell it.
