Eww..yuck....ANOTHER NEW PIC !

Hey! That's looking much better! Still appears somewhat swollen, but I'm sure that'll go down eventually. The hole's bigger than I'd expected. Poor man - must be driving him BONKERS!

EC, we can "hope" for it become reinfected...nah, that wouldn't be nice....

FrenchHen - yep, popping peas IS fun! There's a whole lot to be said for the little joys in life! Good for you for finding them in, of all things, PEAS!

I think it's time to track down Wegotchickens and convince her we CAN take care of her bone spur.....I think I have one of those saws for tree limbs in the barn - that would work right fine, I believe!

He goes in today - I don't know if they will take it out today or send him home for a few more days.

This thread has helped him! He can laugh about it and he's been a good sport too, I keep telling him what all you guys are saying and stuff and he's laughing and enjoying his 15 minutes.

It actually looks better today, It must be healing OK cause I can only stuff about 2 inches of gauze into the opening.

I would have thought this thread would have sunk like a rock a while ago, what are we going to do when it's over? Poor English Chick, she'll have to divulge her boil popping stories to us with more detail.....

I know, isn't it crazy? WHODA THUNK this thread would keep going as it has? I guess it's serving its purpose - to keep your DH entertained! HA! Glad it's healing well, and here's hoping today they'll remove the sac. Will anxiously await to hear how the doc visit goes!!

If they let me in there to take a few shots, I will. I don't know if they are going to do it today though.

FrenchHen's description of popping peas was good, the sac would probably look like the covering of a pea, after it's cooked, you pop out the inards and you're left with the skin or sac of the pea.

In Paul's case I wonder how big the sac is?

I wonder, too. Hey, maybe you can take it home with you & put in a glass of formaldehyde (sp?) for future reference!
