My Londoner Godmother used to make me eat marmalade , which was pretty good, but there was something else like a brown gravy or sauce in a jar that I could just never stomach. The name of it escapes me at the moment . Now I can't remeber the name of it , guess I'll have to call her down than in Alabama because it will bug me until I think of the name. AHHHH - What was that stuff called?

I think that's it!! It was some nasty stuff!! I tried to develop a taste for it - but -- Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nasty !! She could and still does makes great cakes and pies though. She became addicted to my mother's fried chicken too. We tried to make her a hillbilly but she's still resisting after all these years!! LOL
Oh and glad to hear that the " risen" is better, even though we've had great fun out of it. That's what we call a boil here - "risen" pronounced Rye- Zun .
