Eww

It is possible that it is just an unborn chick. A chick that just started forming. Do you have a cockerel because if you do that is the answer to your question. If you don’t have a cockerel I don’t really know what that is so if you don’t have one I can’t help you on that.

It looks like a smaller yolk. I have a young hen that sometimes lays an egg that has a LOT of blood in it and a flesh ball about the size of a small pea. I think it is just a glitch in her reproductive tract and hope that as she ages, it will diminish. But until then, all her eggs go to the dogs. I do break each of my eggs in a separate container until I know it is ok to cook with.
I'm petrified one of the eggs I give to friends will have a large meat spot and/or a blood spot. They are only accustomed to store bought eggs. Thinking of putting an explanatory note on each carton.

I used to give my extra eggs away at work but too many of them do not know that fresh eggs are not as uniform as store bought eggs- there may be blood or small flesh dots in them- it grosses them out and they fuss, so I stopped giving them eggs.

I had a nightmare occurrence where my kids were helping me collect eggs and got the ones the broodies were setting on by mistake. One ended up nearing being scrambled for our breakfast (my husband FREAKED OUT "It's peeping! It's peeping" and RAN AWAY tossing the poor egg into the bowl with the others -- thank goodness we weren't having hard boiled!!!). She actually hatched out OK later that evening - we called her Sunny Side Up. In that same time frame, I know someone else, luckily a friend of the family, got a teeny duck -- unfortunately it was in the fridge and quite deceased. I have no idea how many others went out :( No one said anything and everyone's still buying eggs so I'm hopeful it was just those two. GAWD.

No!! No pics! LOL... Welcome to fresh wonderful eggs from your very own chickens! I have to say I have seen a few things and the double yolker is my fav, not the speck or goo stuff though. I just toss it when that happens, it isn't a big deal. If it happens consistently, then I would for sure figure out which chicken, and probably have to get rid of the chicken... sorry! Good LUCK!

I threw the ball away-it looked like a tissue vein ball and I do NOT want to cut it open-I’m gagging thinking about it.
Most backyard enthusiasts can't really rely on vets, so I would recommend cutting open\investigating anything you can or getting someone else in the family that's less squeamish to do it for you.
It may save your chicken's life one day to be extra attentive. Aside from that, I wouldn't let that put you off odd or large eggs as they can end up being one of the 'prized' double-yolkers and are more often than not unremarkable on the inside.
