Ex-Battery Hens First Moments of Freedom (Tissues Needed!)

GREAT VIDEO

Yep, gotta agree with Sourland there, they obviously put a lot of thought into the sequence. :p The poor chickens, they had hardly any feathers left! It's good to know that people are taking more of a stand against factory farming these days - in Australia there was a big TV ad campaign recently telling people to choose RSPCA approved products I think it was, and sign a petition (petition might not accomplish too much but it's good that they're raising awareness).

I got 5 ex-battery hens two days ago and they look exactly like the ones in the video clip. It was awesome to see them take their first steps. One of the girls needed help to stand at first, but it wasn't too long before she was taking her first steps too. I got them as my other hens are off the lay and instead of going to the shop to get eggs I spent my money on increasing my flock. I have had already had eggs from these lovely ladies. A pity what condition we humans leave the animals who produce for us, once they are no longer deemed "useful".
Thank you to everyone who does this.

Yes, the video did bring tears to my eyes. I just want to go out and hug all my girls. Thank you again. You're their guardian angel.

I would think that if you contacted the ASPCA they could point you in the right direction...good luck and let me know how it goes!
