Ex battery hens

Hi all, I have four ex battery hens i brought from a local farm 6 months ago. Of those six months id say they have laid for 3, only intermittently and not at all since before Christmas. I am in WA australia, so in autumn, and they are usually sold at 1 year - 18 months over here, is there any way fr me to tell their age/whether they will ever lay again or whether they have retired themselves
