Ex battery hens

Hi am about to adopt 4 ex battery hens. Am so excited. Can't wait to c them experience the outdoors for the first time. Do u think I'll get any eggs or will they b past production?

From what I have heard you will probably still get eggs, the hens are just no longer in there top producing ages. Congrats though, I have wanted to do that, was it difficult or do you just ask for them?

I got through nsw hen rescue. Last goes into farms and they give to her if she has found them a home. We donate $15 per bird to help her rescue more and she brings them to ur house. Check out their page on Facebook.

Yes, they will lay. There are several threads on here by folks who have 'rescued' such hens. Their transformation over time is remarkable and heartwarming. Welcome to BYC.
