Terri, it seems you are the one having a problem with this. You say she is just happy to be rid of the bum. That's her decision and she seems happy with it. I wonder if it is anybody else's concern.
Many years ago my Mother became overly concerned with the way I was handling my personal affairs and decided she was going to try to do something about it; I was never able to really forgive her for interfering.
She was was a wonderful caring person but when I left her home I made decisions and accepted the consequences for my actions. I would not have minded her suggestions or opinion; but her interference, even when she felt it was for my good, I was not able to tolerate.
