Excel spreadsheet for tracking expenses and income from chickens

This 2024 spreadsheet is great! but I only have one question... When entering the Customer's purchase there is only one line for the day of the month. What if you have multiple sales on the same date?
I just total eggs and money for the day. The reason is it makes it easier but maybe you give some customers discounts. This way you have total eggs and total $ for the day. Over time you can tell if those discounts are helping or not

The 2025 Chicken Tracker spreadsheet is ready and available for download. Free as always. You can find it at https://stewartcreeksomethings.com/chicken-tracker/. Follow our blog while you are there!
Thanks for the updated spreadsheet, I really enjoy using it!

I have a question for those who use the spreadsheet. Out of curiosity, do you count your laying hens as any who are over a certain age or just ones you know are laying?

I usually just count the ones I know have laid so I am not counting the many pullets that are of-age but haven’t laid their first egg yet. This obviously makes my very poor winter laying percentage just a little better than it would be the other way so it made me curious about what other people do.

I only count babies once they start laying. So if I have 20 pullets as soon as I start seeing eggs increase I toss in all 20 into my total hens. It’s not super accurate but it only takes about six weeks for them all to start laying.

Sorry everyone. We have been super busy. Our daughter is getting married in 13 days. We will update the spreadsheet and get it onto our blog www.stewartcreeksomethings.com
We will have an excel and Google version. It’s free as always!!! I hope you enjoy your chickens. We will keep doing this for everyone as long as we can, so another 20 years at least! Lol.
