Excel spreadsheet for tracking expenses and income from chickens

My wife tells me if you just input a zero,0, in the column then Excel will make the calculation correctly. We don't have it defaulting to zero. I will try and talk her into it by the end of the year.

Just a thought:
It would be great for me if you could imput the number of brown, colored and white layers to see what the productivity of each is. I have no knowledge of excel, so maybe it woudl be too hard to do.

I am loving this program and my hubby thinks this is great!

I would love to get a copy also. I just built a coop last weekend and I'm going to pick up 4 RIR this evening. Built the coop out of pallets I got from work so I don't really have much in the thing other than wire and hinges. An excel sheet to keep up with everything would be wonderful. Thanks!!!

I just hatched and it calculated my rate! I love using this. It's so easy and takes the guess work out!!!!!

raizin, your article about the spreadsheet was so easy to understand. It is great! I'm on my tablet now but I'm going to see if I have excel on my computor. Just hope l can find you again when I'm ready to start. Thanks so much for the info. I got my first ten day old chicks the end of Jan. I now have 24. Have 5 breeds - buff orpington, coo coo Mar an (1) amaricana wellsumer and Rhode island reds. Of course l love them all right now. Wanted to find out what I like best for temperament and egg laying. My neighbor who is experienced suggested these breeds. Do you or anyone have any advice? I didn't mean to write a letter. Ha. Thanks again for the wonderful info. Dorothy 72
