Excited for my new pair's clutch :) & general pigeon talk

My husband and i are pigeon breeders. But we also sell pigeons for meat. We do use the utility type birds for meat like pioneers, kings and giant runts. But we have also used regular pigeons also. You'd be surprised how much meat you can get off of one bird. Note, pigeon meat isnt really used for its amount, but instead it is considered a delicacy. Pigeon meat is expensive compared to other meats. $16 for a 14oz bird is about what the meat costs. Also pigeon meat is mainly used for its great benefits. Many hospitals recommend it after a person has had surgery since pigeon meat helps you digest your food better and the nutrients absorb in your system faster. Pigeon meat is very tasty. Even if you dont get much out of a smaller bird. The benefits of the meat are amazing! For example, i am diabetic, and pigeon meat helps maintain a good blood sugar. And since i have been eating the meat more often, my sugar levels have been great! So give it a try with whatever pigeon size. It will be tasty and have great health benefits!
